Re: Playoffs?
MANY PEOPLE have been saying D'Antoni's system worthless in the playoffs although it's exciting to see in the regular season.
It's not just Nets fans flying high from a 5-game win streak.
D'Antoni's system will NEVER win an NBA championship unless David Stern makes another rule change to empower his system even more (the handcheck rule is really what made his system work in the NBA and changed the entire nature of the game in my opinion). That system is not designed to consistently win a 7 game series. Some of those Suns teams were rediculous, but teams can make enough adjustments over a 7 game series to win 4 games.
With that said, the jury is out on Avery's ability to win a championship, but at least his system got a to an NBA finals.
Mind you, my comments are not bashing Knicks players nor stating our roster is better in any way. I'm merely stating which system, historically, is designed to win a championship.
That's all I have to say about that.

Re: Playoffs?
The Pistons are leading? Either they play to win or the Raptors just suck big time...

We're letting a horrid shooting team shoot 54% on us. We lost, playoff chances are gone.

Re: Playoffs?
It'll suck if Deron has to shut it down.
I just feel happier watching him on the floor and balling the right way. Without him, I'd be better off saving myself the aggravation, instead, switch channel and root for the Knicks -- to lose

I think it'd be better for us in the long run to shut Deron down. We know we're still trying to convince him to stay, and I don't think us forcing him to play through injury in this situation is a good idea.

I don't think anyone is forcing him to play.
I think it's the complete opposite, the coaching and training staff probably want him to shut it down but he wants to play through it.

He seems to wanna play through the pain. He's not the type who's happier sitting down. Even during his Utah days, he still plays even when hurt...
