Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Charlotte Bobcats 03/18/2011

Post#1 » by slick_watts » Fri Mar 18, 2011 5:56 pm

Six game home stand. Not to get ahead of ourselves, but if the Thunder takes care of business we could be looking at a nice win streak.

We see the Bobcats, and the return of DJ White. And Shaun Livingson! Charlotte is fighting for a playoff spot out (L)east, so they will certainly bring their A-game. Charlotte is not a prolific offensive team, so getting going offensively will make it difficult for them to keep up.

Tickets are ridiculous for this game. I looked at getting a ticket in loud city and it was $116 per ticket. Perk's home debut isn't worth that much to me

DJ Whites averaging 9 and 6 in 22 minutes off the bench this month for the Bobcats. Good to see him getting a chance to play and show what hes got.

Perkins home debut. I expect him to play really well. Hopefully the others play as hard.

green font? Wow......

I'm hoping we put this game away early so I can flip back and fourth with the tourney games.

Not a good first half, especially the second quarter.

Those last couple minutes were brutal. They look complacent out there. OKC knows they are the better team are just letting them hang around.

Was a little ugly there for a while, but an overall ho hum game.

Ibaka had 12/13/5
Harden had 21 on great efficiency.

It was the Bobcats.

meh.

Basically learned this game that Harden should be starting. Charlottes runs all came mostly with Harden off the court. We were up 9 with 2.5 minutes left, Harden comes out for Thabo and Charlotte closes on a 7-2 run. We don't get any separation with Thabo in to start the third. Late in the game going to starters + Harden we pull away.

Harden should be starting.

Durant had a really good second haldf. Shot selection? C'mon, he's a superstar. The one who should improve his shot selection is Westbrook, but he needs a playbook.

Ibaka and Harden are sure things. If we take 5 of Westbrook's bad shots today and give them to Harden or Ibaka, we would score in a more efficient way.

With the options Brooks have, Thunder has to be a better defensive team.

Thunder win and Mavs loss inches us back into a fight for that 3rd spot.

Serge Ibaka block lead tracker:

Coming into the night Ibaka was 2 blocks behind Howard for the NBA lead. 154 to 156

Ibaka had 5 blocks to bring his total up to 159
Howard also had 5 blocks, his total is now 161
