I'm really liking D Will but we already have a couple prospects playing that position. If we move one of Amir or Davis I would love to grab him if Irving is gone.

Hey Rhett, like indeed said, can we decide if we are going to have the game discussions here or the other thread?

I don't see why. In-game discussions about prospects is completely different to March Madness. Here people comment about the players impact on the game whereas the March Madness thread its in-game commentary about any team and any player.

I think he can play the 3.

Sure, we should have a decision on it shortly.

Arizona played one of its worst games of the year.
They could not hit a 3, which their game normally relies on. The refs are extremely different from those of the pac 10. To make matters worse, a lot of the calls were very inconsistant.

They called 8 travels/palmings this game. Infact, they even called 3 consecutive possessions as travels.

im just in shock we actually managed to win.

Irving with a very impressive first game back, all things considered.

14 pts, 4-8 FGs, 2-2 3pt FGs, 5 rebs. off the bench

Could someone make the argument to me that Derick Williams can play the 3 in the NBA? (sunny perhaps?) Because I just don't see it. He's always looked like a 4 on both sides of the ball to me.

Except topics are pretty much the same in both for in game discussions. People talk about the same players and same plays with one-liners. I don't see why we need two threads for us to say "Kyrie Irving scored".

Fair enough. I only post in the March Madness thread when it pertains to tournament play not prospects. I really don't care so much either way.

I'm not Sunny but what I see that I think will translate is his strength, athleticism, 3pt shot(60%). He'll be a 3 in the way that Josh Smith was is a 3, obviously there are differences in their game.

Derrick Williams has not played the 3 since highschool. Although I watch all his games and think he is an absolutely incredible player, I still don't know.
It's definitely possible, but until he plays the 3 again, it remains to unseen.

Arizona is recovering from what happened when Lute left and doesnt really have a proper roster. They don't have any point guards or any bigs.

D will is forced to play the 4-5, on a team with tons of wings. As there on no point guards, its really hard for him to get the ball a lot of the times.

His scoring will translate to the nba, but I don't know about other areas of his game. ( Not that other areas look too bad to translate, but he plays a very defined role in college because of the team he is on. He may or may not be more diverse. As of now, we don't really know).

And I don't see why we had to change anything just because a non-mod whined about it. The whole time we were writing posts about our prospects, isn't it what this thread is about?

I'm going to try and see if I can get an Arizona talent evaluator give you guys an official write up on Derrick. They are extremely pragmatic though so I think they view him a little less positive view than what draft.net or DX are writing.

Jared Sullinger 4-5 w/ 9 pts, 6 boards and 2 steals in the first half. Splitting double teams with crafty post moves. He shouldn't be 4-5 but his tough shots always seem to fall.

Williams doesnt seem to have the foot speed to cover the 3. Please not another square peg for a round hole. Perhaps if his combine results show his lateral quickness otherwise then it'll be worth considering him as a 3.
