Thanks for the help Mags, CCC, and RutgersBJJ...much appreciated.
What if the tv already has internet TV? My dad and I checked out the Sony outlet store at Woodbury Commons and we found a 32 inch, Sony Bravio LCD, that had internet TV - for a good price also. The only downside was that it was 720p instead of 1080p.
I really know nothing about the differences between LCD tvs and Plasma tvs except for plasma tvs sometime burn out? I have a PS3 that I plan on bringing with me to school. Side question, I can use an HDMI connector for the PS3 even if the tv is not 1080p, correct? Like the above tv would be fine (720p)? Is there a difference between 1080/780 and LED/LCD?
I'm really not sure what the price limit is because I haven't talked to my dad about it...it's a late birthday present. I just know that the biggest size is 32 inches, and knowing my dad, he's not going to go crazy on the price lol.
If the TV has USB ports, couldn't I just use a regular 2TB/1TB external hard drive? Are there any benefits to using the NAS besides being able to use DLNA to stream media? I'd pretty much be using the drive to backup my school files, music, and tv shows/movies...that's it. Is Western Digital ok? If I do decide to get a NAS, could I directly connect it with my computer when I need to back it up?
I think I found a pair of headphones (see below). The reason I need wireless headphones is because I'm not going to be able to keep the volume high enough for me to be able to hear it when my roommate is asleep. I've read that Sennheiser makes great headphones and these have gotten good reviews for both TV use and iPod use. Any help with this/more info would be great if possible; it not, no biggie. If there are better headphones than this that I can make wireless, that works also. What are some good headphones that you guys not recommend that are not wireless (in case I do find a way to make non-wireless headphones, wireless).
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-RS120- ... B0001FTVEKI would get the beats, but I don't feel like spending 250 on the studios. I read that I can get the refurbished ones and send them back to get brand new ones, but I'm not entirely sure how to do that.
I know it's a lot of stuff to ask for help on, but I've gotten good advice here in the past and I'm sure a bunch of posters here know a lot more about TVs/external hard drives than me lol.
