Not that I can recall. He may have said that he's BIGGER than dwight (guy was huge). or something very specific to that effect, but claiming he was better than dwight at any point? I don't believe so.

I don't know anything about Hansbrough, but I do know this: If I was him, i'd be pissed at the home crowd. I saw so many red shirts in the crowd that it made my eyes bleed. C'mon pacers fans, your team is trying for an 8th seed, give it some support.

He absolutely murdered the Bulls' frontcourt and was easily the most impressive player, including the 6'2" shooting guard, Derrick Rose.

I honestly see him as a poor man's chris bosh. He's already stronger than him and probably a better rebounder, even. I'd watch him -- he could become an all star in a couple years.

He's a fighter. The most important part of his offense is initiating contact mid air and still finishing. For someone of his size/athletic ability it's very impressive, and that mid range jumper is money.

Tyler Hansbrough? Amare Stoudemire, with less athleticism and goggles but more skill and intelligence.

I'm not sure what's so shocking about Hansbrough's development as a scorer. His scoring ability was what made him an NCAA legend. He has respectable NBA size (6'9", 240ish), a nice shooting touch and his insane hustle has translated well, but then, why wouldn't it? As was stated during his pre-draft workouts two years ago, "effort is a skill." He can score, is a solid rebounder and plays hard on defense. He needs to work on his passing and ball handling a little bit, but he looks like a legitimate starter to me, and perhaps a pretty damn good one in due time. He and Hibbert are a very promising front court.

Don't just look at stats, watch him play. He's an effective player and I see no reason why he can't keep this up with consistent playing time. That's the most important part in my opinion: plating time. He said it himself, O'Brien didn't believe in him.

You'd be surprised at how many coaches keep players down due to personal or just idiotic reasons. Chris Douglas-Roberts would be a 18-20 ppg scorer with consistent PT, same with Maggette. Marcus Thornton started the season on the bench and received extremely inconsistent minutes. He blossomed after the trade to Sacramento.

The Pacers have some good young pieces. If they keep their core intact and hire a good coach, they'll be dangerous, but it takes a while for a young team to turn the corner. Once that happens, they're going to be challenging the Bulls for the Central every year. They have quality wins over some of the best teams in the league already.

I hate coaches that don't play rookies and then scapegoat them for losing.

Well lets just say it, we all thought he would suck. He is serviceable, which is pretty damn good given my expectations of him. I thought he would be marginally better than May, but I had serious concerns of him being able to score at the NBA level.

Dude is legit. I knew he'd have a solid NBA career because he plays with a great motor and a great heart. Dude's a warrior and I'd love to have him on my team. I think he'll be an all-star one day.

I think we all expected a hustle guy striving for double doubles while throwing up shots that made his fan base hate him. Sort of a young Kris Humphries. By my eyes he's gotten so much bigger that he is physically dominant with his strength, and that's just something I never expected. I thought he was fairly close to maxing out his body by the end of college.
