Forgive me for laughing off a comment after Carter played a horrible game and someone decides to start talking career stats.

I was also out tonight but I did watch most of the game while at a friend's house. Golden State seemed to make it really easy on us in the first half with their pitiful transition defense. And in typical Suns fashion we started to let them back in during the fourth.

I'm glad we pulled out the win, but at the same time I will admit I don't have much faith in them as a playoff team. If these guys don't have the toughness to suck it up and play well when their PG gets hurt, they won't make it far at all in the playoffs. It's been a while since the Suns drafted someone that came in and made an impact. With us currently being a lottery team AND the chance we try to trade Nash for a different lottery pick, I'm intrigued at who we can land.

In other words, I'm glad we won, but I'm not. I really don't want a team ever to tank, I'm just thinking long term here. I can't help but feel like this playoff race is a lost cause. 11th place? That's crazy. Definitely not use to seeing them in this position... the Suns haven't won a championship, but they sure as heck have done well in the playoffs over the years. We knew what those teams did right, and we know how this team is now. They've had flashes, but they haven't shown enough consistency.

Damn, that's a lot of rambling. Um, go Suns!

I just don't think there's such a thing as tanking or purposely losing now with our record, we're pretty much guaranteed not to get a top 10 spot in the lottery if you look at the teams below us...so basically no matter what we do we're just talking about a range of a few picks here

True. I'm basically at a situation where I've accepted that whatever happens happens. I hope we finish the year off well and have a really good draft.

Unless we stick with what works, and also have some luck go our way, my playoff hopes are pretty much caput. I don't mind them playing for pride and I would never want to see them dog it. The Suns are still trying to figure out who they are, and so am I. :) Gortat has been huge, he brings the defense that allows are offense to get a lead.

Frye has really earned his spot as a starter, he and Gortat feed off eachother's style of play. I see a great future with those two sharing time in purple and orange.
Fun game to watch last night, it's like they knew they had it in them.

I haven't deserted the ship guys, just busy with family and life.

Went to The Tempest with the wife last night and then out all day with the dog and her at the lake, so I gave up on watching the game and avoiding the score.

How was Lou?

Glad to have Frye back - I'll be on board for the next one

cheers

Damn guys, 4 pages? You guys usually go 16+ lol. I don't think the situation is as dire as you guys think, Memphis is solid, but you guys have a very good chance being only 2 games out. If Nash stays healthy, I think you guys make it.

The key is Frye (and Nash, but that's a given). Frye's earned his paycheck. It's no surprise that the team showed some energy and desire with him back. Even if he's not shooting well (which he surprisingly shot pretty good with a recently dislocated shoulder), he still spaces the floor and has been taking initiative down low on offense and defense.

I MIGHT come into tickets for the Clips game....no chance on the Lakers game though. Way too much money.

More exciting to watch the Griffinator anyway.
