he impressed me though. I didnt like his assist numbers, he reminds me of Lou Williams for some reason. He just likes to score and should probably be a 2 but is in a PGs body.

Players in Calipari's offense tend to have subdued assist numbers. It's based on a dribble drive game with several players handling the ball.

I like the fact that there are some PG prospects emerging just in case we don't win the lottery for Irving.

I dont get why anyone would trade ED for a a lotto pick. It makes no sense unless we get the top pick in return.

We'd only do it if Sullinger, Williams (who I think is a clear 4), Jones III were on the board and we thought they were better prospects than Ed (which I do)

I don't think trying to fit Ed with Sullinger for eg. is a good idea. I'd rather build a big 3 in prospects where the positions fit from this draft onward. I love the idea of Derozan, Sullinger and another top 8 prospect in this draft a LOT. But I'm a huge Sullinger pusher. I think he's the best prospect in this draft.

I thought we wanted to improve our defense? Sullinger will have height/athleticism limitations which will restrict his defensive potential.

Hes raw though and a bit of a project.

They didn't give Terrence Jones the ball for most of the game. I still think he's a solid prospect. I sure wish Barnes had his ballhandling and passing skills to go with the rest of his tools.

oh really? I didnt know that. Even in highschool though. Yes he averaged 32.5 PPG but he only had 3.9 APG, that just scares me.

I wish Barnes drove more too, he often settles i wanna see him create which i think he can develop overtime. I think his ceiling is someone like Pierce. Who isnt the fastest but his footwork can separate him.

He wasn't being active in the 1st half and wasn't assertive much till late in the 2nd half finally demanding the ball in the post.

One thing too, when scouts said that he has attitude problem indicated by his facial gesture and body movement, I thought they were making a big deal out of it but every time I watch him play he displayed these traits...he looked like he's not motivated from time to time :-?

Damn...if HB had those two traits he'd be guarantee a 2nd overall pick for sure

Not just the APG that scares you, most of the time he's out of control and over dribbles the ball in transition. He's more turnover prone than that guy named John Wall :o

He's really improved on that since the beginning of the year. I'm not one of those people that thinks you need to have the 2nd coming of Steve Nash to run the point in today's NBA. The way the game is officitated today, the ability to penetrate is paramount. This is a skill Knight has in spades. Just look around the league at all the point guards that are primary scorers on their teams whose games are built on this.

As well, guys like Rondo, Rose, Curry, Westbrook, Parker, Billups etc. didn't have great point guard skills coming in to the league, but they improved over time. I see no reason why Knight and/or Walker can't do the same.

It shouldn't. He was the best player on his team in high school, so his role was to score. Look around the NBA at all of the point guards that are major scorers for their teams. That's how the game is played nowadays with all of the BS touch foul calls on the perimiter. If you want assists, why not just keep Jose at the point?

A lot of people include Kanter but I was turned away by him saying he wants to be a Power Forward. I've given that spot to Ed Davis at this point.

If we draft him, he'll play C and he'll like it!

I don't think Jimmer is going to struggle getting his shot off against NBA defenses. He might be another Curry on the defensive end, but he could be a truly elite offensive talent. I hope he does competitive workouts with the other guard prospects.

Yeah, the guy has the strength and skills to create shots for himself. Fun to watch, but most likely not the player for us.
