That's a good way of looking at it IMO. So for the stuff you're not putting % on, I'm assuming you're saying bench player right?

I'd say that all the players have at least 10% bust potential. Injuries or poor fits with teams happen.

Kemba is a BC guy for sure. Kyrie is an everyone guy.

Which way would BC go if the two BPA are Kanter and Walker when we choose? I would hope he'd grab Kemba, but my gut says otherwise..

Not really. The numbers aren't to estimate what will happen to any specific player but is a way for me to quantify my gut feeling for a player compared to the rest of the draft class by their potential to succeed or bust. For players without bust% and without All-star%, I considered them to be near zero. That is not meant to be a prediction but a quantification of my gut feeling about the player as of now.

So at the moment, I am ranking Brandon Knight higher than Terrence Jones because my gut thinks he has a higher chance at being an all-star, even though I also think he also has a higher bust potential and lower chance at being a regular starter because of his production in the regular season. Putting numbers on it helps to make comparisons across the class and justify my rankings.

id go Kanter. However the way i see it its

CLE: Irving
MIN: Val/Kanter
SAC: Could reach for Knight if he continues to play well or reach for Walker, this is the wildcard pick though. They could go with a PG, trade down, go with a C or go with a SF
WAS: SF (P.Jones/H.Barnes)
TOR: if P.Jones/H.Barnes are left we take one of them.

so it depends who SAC picks for us to end up with P.Jones or Barnes

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Who in this draft does? And how do you define upside? For me upside is ability to grow substantially from where you are currently.

I define it as making an impact deep in the playoffs against the best in the league. I just dont see that here. He could make us better but not good enough in my eyes. My intentions at the draft is for creating a 50+ win team not just being competitive. But like you said, this draft is full of that type of player. We're going to need to be lucky at the end of the day. I just dont see Walker as good enough. At least with some of the other guys, they have a higher ceiling and maybe they could improve a lot from draft day. I just dont want to draft another guy where we're 'stuck' with him at a certain position which blocks future moves.

Considering you haven't watched any of the euros play it's funny that you'd make BC to be the stupid one.

Harrison Barnes will be a top 3 pick, book it.

Barnes has looked good on offense. Henson has been dopey so far. If he picks his game up in the 2nd half I think NC walks away with it.

If that's how you define upside you'll be waiting a long time before you can say someone has upside. lol very few in the game today can do what you define as upside!

And to further that who in this draft do you see with what you describe?

If Henson doesn't pick it up there's no way UNC will win this game if they keep getting manhandled in the paint on both ends...Marshall has been sloppy yikes...thank god HB and Z have carried them back in the game thus far...cmon Tarheels!

If this game isn't played in NC, I imagine that UNC would be down 10+.
The fouls have been something like 11-2 in favour of UNC and there have been a ton of really questionable plays.

Hopefully Isaiah Thomas picks up his game, it should be a great second half.

I think we need to get lucky. But at a minimum, I dont want to pick somebody that creates a situation where we 'develop' them and get nowhere.

I'm on the John Henson bandwagon but he's playing like a little beeotch today. He needs to use that length and Keon Clark dudes in the paint. Stop being soft!!!
