Jones has been really passive today. He looks like a totally different player

time to add brandon knight to our short list? and dont give me this "we have a pg stuff". we need to take the best player, regardless if position and if that happens to be a pg, then so be it. plus, many of the top pgs this year project as combo guards (knight, fredette, walker). you can never have enough scorers who can handle the rock, iso and get to the rim. we really only have one player who can beat guys off the dribble right now and thats dj.

What an amazing game by Brandon Knight. Best I've ever seen him play. A few more of those and he's a high lottery pick.

I think, by June, whomever is drafting in the top 3 will consider Brandon Knight. I think he can go number 1.

coachthorpe david b. thorpe
He's not as explosive an athlete as D Rose, but he's a better scorer, shooter, and passer at that age. Rose has higher upside, not by a lot.

article on vesely

For the most part, NBA evaluators agree that in an up-tempo system, without significant pressure to create his own offense, Vesely could thrive. They like the energy he brings to the floor, and drool over his ability to finish around the basket in the wide-open NBA. Others worry about his slight frame, inconsistent ball-handling skills and perimeter shooting (he's averaging 33 percent from deep this season), and his quickness when guarding the NBA's athletic swingmen.

Texas men's basketball SID Scott McConnell said multiple media outlets reported that sophomore Jordan Hamilton also said he will return next season.

Well that could put a damper on the player pool....

Honeycutt was good today against Florida. Came up big defensively with 4 blocks and showed more that he CAN play SF versus SG. He has a sweet stroke from the 3 point line, I think he could really develop into a great shooter. He also plays pretty good defense. He's probably not worthy of a top 15 pick, but perhaps around 20 he would be a good value pick that we could develop at SG and SF for the future. Probably will be more of a bench scorer, or a very average NBA starter. Still though, the potential of his shot is unlimited. He could be an excellent shooter off the bench, a guy you absolutely have to mark on defense.

From what I read of Vesely he reminded me of TT but without the shot blocking.

Good athlete, likes to dunk has a nice jump shot.

Is it safe to say Sheldon Mack has no BBIQ? That was the 2nd most boneheaded play at the end of a game I have seen, 2nd only to the foul by Pitt that occurred .5 of a second later. But honestly, I dont think I would have blown the whistle on the Pitt foul. As for Mack, well that was downright idiotic. He is the luckiest man in America tonight.

That's exactly what came to my mind as well. Seems to me he is someone we need to stay away from. Unless he can play C, he is useless to us.

Chad Ford's mock machine now has us taking Brandon Knight at #10. He supplanted kemba Walker.

I'm not sold on Knight. He hasn't played that well all year but has one great game and is in the discussion for top 3, even #1 overall?

Let some other team take the mistake of picking him. I'd much rather go with Nolan Smith (who will be available later) if we're going for a tweener guard/volume scorer.

I agree with you. Nolan Smith is also bigger and more fit to be a tweener/2 guard type player. He beats Knight in every catagory and is argurably the player of the year. I knwo you have more potential with Knight, but I think some are putting way too much merit into one game.

As long as Jordan Hamilton is on the board, if he comes out, I would take him over Knight and then use our later pick on Smith or Honeycutt.
