He kind of plays like he is a SF, but he doesn't have near the quickness to be one. He's just not very tough inside, doesn't grinde. I suppose he could make a living if he continued to develop that mid-range game. I just find it funny that people really think he would be successfull as a SF in the NBA. I just don't see it at all.

he has a lot of TT in his game....but his lack of quickness would be a major problem at SF in the NBA

On defense he has fantastic BBIQ. He's rarely, if ever, caught for a shooting foul because his timing is impeccable going for blocks. He's a great rebounder also and can play the weak side with ease.

That said, he won't be a very good NBA player. He needs to stay all 4 years in school because his game doesn't translate very well at all.

Brandon Knight apparently has an incredible work ethic. Looks like there is another player that we can't pass if we end up with the 9th or 10th pick.

Let some other team take the mistake of picking him. I'd much rather go with Nolan Smith (who will be available later) if we're going for a tweener guard/volume scorer.

I agree with you. Nolan Smith is also bigger and more fit to be a tweener/2 guard type player. He beats Knight in every catagory and is argurably the player of the year. I knwo you have more potential with Knight, but I think some are putting way too much merit into one game.

As long as Jordan Hamilton is on the board, if he comes out, I would take him over Knight and then use our later pick on Smith or Honeycutt.

i'm not trying to support one vs the other, but i think its fair to mention that one is a senior and one is a freshman. i would have to imagine that knight as a senior would definitely be putting up better numbers than nolan.

Obivoulsy there is that difference between Freshman and Senior years. However I think something can also be said about a player who plays all 4 years at college versus that player who quites after 1 year. I'm still not convinced Knight will be better than Smith, but the potential is there. I still think he will be drafted somehwere after pick 14. People put way too much stock into one big game.

I think Smith will be a lot like Henderson in that he will be very solid having played 4 years under Coach K. Solid fundamentals. Nothing like an All Star, but still a solid player.

And Harrison Barnes is going to play himself into a Top 3 pick if he keeps playing like this. From the 2nd half of the season and on he has been playing like people thought he could play.

interesting that ESPN has moved Jordan Hamilton down to 17 and Tyler Honeycutt to 35 on their Top 100. Is it possible we could get Hamilton with the NO pick and Honeycutt in the 2nd? If so do you then consider Brandon Knight around #10? I'd be happy with a Knight, Hamilton, Honeycutt draft.

Those would not be bad picks at all. But I am really hoping against hope we somehow get Kanter with our 1st. Right now we would be #9. But the way we have been playing, that is likely to be at least #8 and possibly #7. Outside chance Kanter slips to #7.

This is bad news because it moves every potential draft choice we have up one slot, probably anyway.

Well he'd be top ten this year or next year unless something catastrophic happened.

Actually, add another year to his resume and he's probably a top three next year. If he stays another year, I can't see him outside of the top five unless, as you said, something catastrophic happened.

dont believe all this "staying in school" stuff coming out right now. happens every year. kids get asked these questions in the heat of the tournament. what else do you expect them to say.
