Out of many other things wrong with that post, the big difference between AI in Philly and Kobe in LA is that AI did not win 5 rings during his tenure.

Shaw has waited his turn. I believe he at least deserves a shot. From time to time I always hear or read about his relationship with the players. They respect Shaw and that is important as a coach. He has earned the trust of the players. I don't know if such a drastic change in coaching would be good for this team.

he was one robert horry shot away from winning the big time over the lakers.

When we signed Pau gasol we could have looked at him and said "what the hell has this scrub won? 0-8 in playoff games, we need a winner on this team" but the lakers turned pau into a winner. The lakers IMO could turn adelman into a big winner with his coaching talent.

I'm not saying i'd advocate him over brian but if the decision were up to me I'd consider both of them.

The next coach will be like mostof the laker coaches -- unknowns on inexpensive contracts. Buss is always looking to savedollarsto finance the LT; he will get $5-7mm in savings with his next coach. outside chance, assuming no lockout, PJ may make a run for 4 in a row.

I think alot of consideration will be made based on how the Lakers finish the season,

If the Lakers win the Championship, go with Shaw and the other existing "Triangle" coaches.

If the Lakers lose anywhere along the way: go with Adelmen, dump the triangle and see how that goes...

Rick's teams excel with defense, hustle and grittiness, even though he rarely has top-talent.. With the Lakers Talent, I am sure he could win his first championship...!

I think he's a good coach but can he come in and coach the triangle?

Triangle stays after Phil so most likely Shaw is going to coach the team

I like Shaw but is he really going to be able to tell Kobe what to do? These guys played together and I just don't see Kobe really taking orders from him.. Will the rest of the guys respect his authority either?

On the other hand it could work out well since they have been together for so long.

I will be happy if chuck of shaw gets it. We need a guy whos been here. The Triangle must stay until kobe retires at least.Ive seen interiveiw with kobe on shaw he respects him . I thnk he could handle kobe. If he has kobe respect as HC the rest will fall in line.
