BENCH:JR - GALLO - BIRDMAN - MOZGOV - KOUFUS
INJURIES: AL (doubtful - because he sucks) - AFFLALO (doubtful - hamstring) - RAYMOND (doubtful - ankle)

TORONTO RAPTORS STARTING FIVE:
JOSE CALDERON - DeMAR DeROZAN - JAMES JOHNSON - AMIR JOHNSON - ANDREA BARGNANI
BENCH: REGGIE EVENS - LEANDRO BARBOSA - SONNY WEEMS - JERRYD BAYLESS - ED DAVIS

KEY MATCHUP:

After 2 tough road losses the Nuggets need to come back home and get a win against the Raptors, a team they are fully capable of beating. Nene will need to get his mojo back and attack Bargnani in the post and cover his deadly 3 point shooting. Kenyon might switch on him a bit with his speed advantage. Ty will need to take advantage of Calderon's slower lateral movement and get to the basket and do what he does best. Barbosa might be able to match up well with Ty at which point the Nuggets wings will need to come through. Hopefully Gallo can continue his pace of getting to the free throw line with ease and the rest of the team can fill in for the lack of Ray and Aaron.

Nice home stretch coming up. Karl's top priority should be easing AAA and Felton back into their games CAREFULLY when they return!

I like how Gallo is handling himself when he is matched up at 4. He is going hard every game he played thus far and attacking the rim on.

Nene should rape Bargnani down low if he looks at himself in a big mirror before the game with Bargnani's
wallpaper right next to it and ask himself how much of a trouble it will be posting up against him down low.

Posting up Bargnani is not so easy, as Andrea is a somehow decent man-to-man defender.
Nene can beat him bigtime on energy and rebounds battle and exploit his awkward help defence, though.

If the Raprtors play like the way they did last night, this should be a good game.

raptors want to lose. nuggets just have to kill them in the first quarter. open a 8 point lead earlier and it's over.

Nice job Gallo, he gathered the rebound, led the break, and hit Chandler for a layup.

edit: Nice D by Gallo, he came up with the steal and led the one man fast break for a layup.

Lawsome is on fire tonight 13 first quarter points

Nice block by the Birdman, but he hurt himself on the play, I hope he is alright. Excellent first quarter from Lawsome, Gallo, and Nene.

question for you guys. I really like Gallo for the Raptors, he seems like the perfect SF beside Derozan with his shooting. I dont watch a lot of games but he looks good so far.

Would you take #5 (Sullinger/P.Jones/Kanter) + Klezia + 2nd + Cash for Gallo + #22. Or take Klezia out of it.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Some Nuggets fans might do it, but I wouldn't. The Nuggets turned down a trade offer from the clippers of their first or the first that they have from the twolves for Gallo.

Swish Smith is handling the backup pg duties well, he is scoring and distributing so far tonight. Harrington has played pretty well in the minutes he has played as well.

fair enough. I just figured youd retain Chandler,AA and draft a PF like Sullinger/Kanter/P.Jones

Lawson
AA
Chandler
P.Jones,Sullinger,Kanter
Nene

just looks like a nice more complete lineup. I just see a ton of PFs in this draft and see that as the position you need a star or youth with potential there. Raptors have a PF thats preforming well in Ed Davis and we need a SF badly so i just thought theres a match

^^^ I don't disagree with you about the Nuggets needing to address the PF position at some point, but I hope it isn't at the expense of losing Gallo. George Karl seems to be pretty high on him, which is a good thing imo.

They play a lot better defense now, there is no question about it.

:)

Now just bench all the starters and make the gameplan for the next game.

Knicks were playing good man, but they just melted down. Terrible choking job.

A team with billups, stat and anthony cannot choke like that..

With that being said I feel the answer is NO. :)

Return to Denver Nuggets
