To be honest I think we need an elite scorer/take over type guy at SG or SF...I'd make a run at Rudy Gay in the offseason. MEM will be paying Zach and MGasol most likely, so slotting Battier or Tony Allen into their starting lineup wouldn't be too much of a dropoff...

Just out of curiosity, would you guys still wanna trade for Milsap or draft a PF?

I like both ideas but I think Frye has made the jump to where he is a legit starter and pushing him back to the bench could hurt his confidence. So IMO we're set at starting PF.

Nash era wont be around forever. I say we trade for Paul Millsap, see if we can sign a sg, (Marcus Thornton?) and make a couple more runs while Nash and Hill still can.

We want the Nash era to end in style, not end with a small whimper.

Gay is just paid like a franchise player but I don't see him as a go-to guy. They might put the ball in his hands for the last shot but other than that one lucky over Lebron in the win against the Heat, he hasn't really been clutch. I'd also like to see where this talk of leadership coming from *him*, is if you don't mind.

Quite honestly, I wouldn't touch anyone on a max deal (or close to) not named Lebron, Wade and Amare as we're heading into a new CBA.

I'd make a run at Mayo this off-season. He's still on his rookie deal and it doesn't seem like Memphis is truly invested in him.

Idk about that. For the first time tonight, Gentry played both Gortat, and Frye with Brooks and Frye played quite well. I think playing with a real PG can make Frye productive at the same level or close to it.

Exactly. What about last year's second unit? No Nash, no stars, arguably not much talent. But hustle on defense, plenty of length, good mobility, excellent spacing, and enough of an offensive spark. And they beat up on elite starting units in the playoffs.

Frye is the perfect piece in the right system.

Everyone thinks that the #1 criteria for a "good" basketball player is that if you hand him the basketball, he'll score while the rest of the team stands around and watches. I suppose that's somewhat true on the playground, but there's this crazy idea called teamwork.

You know, you get five players together who complement each other, a coach teaches them to work together, they practice . . .

Yup - and we were honestly one player away last year. God damn it -

I admit as most I was apprehensive when Frye signed his new deal. Questions about his rebounding toughness and shooting consistancy worried me. Then the seasons started. By early December I was impressed not only with Frye's production but i think he's even playing alot better than last year (esp on D and the boards) and he's been rock solid ever since.

Anyone who doesnt think Frye is living up to his contract or playing well either isnt watching the Suns games (my pet peeve is Suns "fans" who hardly watch any games then spout off-yes I watch every single game) or have no understanding how the game of basketball works.

Dude is straight out ballin for us anyone who disagrees is a chump.
