In hindsight, would anyone have given Korver the same contract the Bulls gave him? Kyle wasn't a good defender, but the deficiency has always been hugely overstated, in my opinion. All I know is he couldn't be much worse than Bell in that department, and he's better in every other one.

Obviously, Wesley Matthews would've been the ideal signing for a million or two more, but if we'd re-signed Korver, we wouldn't have had to deal with the luxury-tax-crippling first-year bonus Portland gave Wes.

wow it sound like our struggles starts from dealing Will And most of all Deron is not a "great wining guy" he just took a lot about wining but thats it, this season proves that.

I think that there are 2 most important problems, #1 Team is completely unmatched now, on both ends of the floor, #2 we dont have any sg that would stretch the opponents defense for as.

I still disagree about Deron staying "if the Jazz had maintained their winning ways." Go back to when Deron signed his contract extension after his rookie contract expired. The Jazz had just been to the Western Conference Finals and the Jazz offered him a 4 year contract or a 5 year one. He signed the shorter one. He was not happy even with that good team in place and having just been to the WCF that year. So no, he wouldn't be here anyway.

Can you explain to me how you would have dealt with all of the players we lost in the last year? How would you have convinced (if we wanted to) Boozer, Korver to stay? Since we were already far into the luxury and an undrafted player who had a decent first season wants about 7 million approaches you and you have a choice between using the money on him or replacing Boozer what would you have done differently? We used the money on Jefferson.

I am just saying what would you have done considering the the CBA and financial implications of everything. I just have to laugh at everyone who criticizes every move that management makes.

How about this also. When the Jazz know what picks they can get, you make the picks and then in 3 years we will see how well you drafted at those positions. They have to be available in the draft. Sound good?

boozer was very opening to resigning, the jazz had already handcuffed themselves to memo and millsap, two moves i heavily criticized because of the implications those signings presented, had they not matched on those offers then easily they could've kept boozer and korver, as well as mathews, the fo botched this one big time,
but the recovery has been exciting and it is nice at the same time, knowing we could never get past the lakers, and no one with boozer and korver and mathews is going to get past the lakers, the dwill fall out was surprising, to be honest, i'm not sad to see someone go who won't set a pick for a big who gets you over 6 assists a game garuanteed, f deron.

Dwill is still a top pg even if I rate him much lower now, booz and rose hit it off, but Dwill quit on this team and now that he's gone I could speak my mind about him and what he did in Utah, but whats the point he isn't on the team and he's a great pt guard who I wouldn't be surprised to see give NJ the shaft.

I thought the Okur extension was beyond (Please Use More Appropriate Word), he has seen his better days, we're paying WAY too much for him, even if he could of played 70 games, 13/7 does not make you worth $10M+ in my book. Boozer in my book had to go, his injuries continue, and Jefferson despite a slow start had put up better numbers.

To me there clear problems are:

1 Mathews + Korver + Brewer - Hayward and Bell simply have not filled the void
2 Okur injury - Stuck us futher in hole since we no shooters now
3 Sloan/Johnson for Corbin - The above, plus injuries, lead IMO to their retirement
4 Williams - while his injury hurt, if we could of kept atleast Mathews and/or Korver, we could of been far more competitive, and I think we would have had a happier core, and could of kept Sloan/Johnson, and not been so worried about Williams walking

I really hope we are able to get some studs in the following drafts, our rookies reach potential, players continue to gel, and finally that Corbin develops into a solid coach. Time will tell if the Jazz have a future, but it's pretty ugly right now.
