Jordan Crawford Last Four Games

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Wed Mar 16, 2011 3:30 am

He has 77 points.

He scored 27 against Chicago tonight. He is also passing and grabbing between 3 or 4 boards per game.

I still say it was a good trade only because Drew wouldn't have given Jordan the minutes he needed to play, but I wish we could have kept Crawford and just gave away the first with the other fillers. Hawks could have traded Jamal before the deadline for Okur and force LD to play Jordan.

IMO-Washington would have traded Hinrich for Bibby & Mo straight up if Bibby hinted he wanted a buy out(which he did in hindsight). The Hawks probably didn't intend on picking up Crawford's 3rd year option or using their 2011 pick so they just threw both in the trade to save 2-3 million or so.

It was a bad trade because they gave up 2 late 1st round picks for two players who are in the same tier. Just going by PER and/or plus minus...I don't see how you can think that Kirk Hinrich would would make the Hawks significantly better as the starting pg than Bibby or Teague over a full season(let alone on the fly in 2 months).

^ we all agree that both Jordan and the pick was over kill. almost as bad as passing up on Whiteside 3 times, and offering Joe max.

i like Jordan, but the pick was more valuable than Jordan because the Hawks could have possibly packaged the pick with Marvin and/or Zaza for a contract that expires in a year.

if Sund could have just included Marvin and Yi in the trade, it would have been alot better for the Hawks, cause it would have saved the team 8million in cap.

There are 2 sides of his game - he's only good on offense. Last night, when he played defense, the guy made career journeymen look like allstars. When Brewer and Bogans go off for 25 against you, something's wrong. If I'm CHI and my SG position, which is lousy, can only lose by 2 points, I'm thrilled.

He scored 77, but his +/- for that span is -52.

If anything I think Yi should have been in the deal for Zaza and kept the pick instead, to later ship Marvin and the pick for somebody else.

A change was needed and Jordan Crawford was a necessary sacrifice to make it happen. Could it backfire on the Hawks? Sure. Too late for me to worry about it now.

He's playing for the Wizards. LOTS of garbage time.... he couldn't play here due to Crawford, Johnson, Teague, Bibby.... The HAWKS should have NEVER drafed him.... a SG is all that we didn't need...

I hated they passed on Whiteside in the draft.

we passed on Whiteside, Dexter Pittman, and Soloman Alabi. Hell we passed on daniel Orton as well. but I believe Hilton Armstrong can be just as good as anyone of those bigs.

He was drafted as part of a longer strategy. They just abandoned the strategy part way through.

If we knew then what we know now we may have kept Damion James as a SF replacement.

probably would of been a good cheap replacement for jamal after this season. Wonder if the hawks could of gotten anything decent for jamal and his expiring at the deadline.

it was against the Clippers, He looks like a slasher but he doesn't get to the FT line enough and projected to be a big PG. That meant the Hawks were giving up on Teague right.

And if he was a SG that means he is going to replace JJ or JC. And then they offer Joe the max. Franchise is clueless. At least they turned him and Bibby into a near expiring deal.

I honestly could careless if it was against the Clippers or not. He scored 27 against Chicago on the 15th.

160 points in March.

What do you think the Hawks management plan was for him? I cannot figure it out.

it was in double OT against the Clippers, so everybody had extra time to pad their stats, with nobody playing defense, except for McGee.
