But Hinrich is a pretty clear downgrade. And the Hawks dont have anything else we want.

Denver already has enough wing players, adding two more would be a bit redundant.

I prefer we move him for a good pick, and then find a good backup PG, Kings fans will bitch, but I could see the Kings trading their pick and Udrih for Felton before or at the draft.

lol id do that in a second. no way sacramento trades their pick for felton though.

I'm guessing he wants to be "the guy"...CP3, Rose, D-Will etc....but maybe winning will satisfy that urge. I still think he and lawson are on the same level most nights.

I would give Lawsome the edge on offense, but Felton is the better defender imo.

Felton used to play 38 minutes in NY. He only plays 31 in Denver and he played 27 minutes in Orlando. 29 in ATL. He's probably not used to that

5?

Felton would start for Portland, Atlanta, Sacramento, Toronto, Cleveland, Detroit, Charlotte, Houston, Minny, Utah, and (possibly) Philly.

He's being a pro and plain balling. Keep in mind, he's on an expiring contract next year, which should really help you get value for him. But it also puts Felton in a bad predicament if he's viewed as a backup by staying in Denver.

Felton is on a contract that pays him well. All of the teams mentioned above with the exception of perhaps Portland are not as good as Denver. Does it mean more to be a starter on a poorer team or to play quality minutes on a better team for the same money? We will see what gives with Felton when that time comes but we are not there yet. Once you start looking at the better teams you start looking at the cap situation and whether his contact will fit. Pay him too much and then you have cap problems. At this moment he fits in Denver.
Canned in Denver.

Felton is on a ****ty contract for him. Only 7 million a year on a 2 year contract. not good. Especially for a guy that nearly made the all star team. The only reason why he accepted it was so he could play in NY. Now he doesn't even have that, plus he's not even starting. I'd be pissed off.

He'd normally be starting for most teams in the league like Knicks, 76ers, Raptors, Caveleirs, Pistons, Pacers, Bucks, Hawks, Bobcats, Heat, Magic, Timberwolves, Blazers, Jazz, Clippers, Lakers, Kings, Mavs, Grizzlies.

he makes starter money, plays starter minutes, plays at the end of games and gets plenty of shots.

what more does he want?

He wouldn't start over Kidd, Miller, or Nelson imo, and it is questionable if he would start over Holiday or Collison. His scoring has been terrible since he was traded to the Nuggets, his TS% is well below the league average he's at 48.6% and he has only been knocking down his free throws at a 50% clip. He pushes the tempo, passes well, and plays solid defense, but he hasn't shown that he can score on a consistent basis. Hopefully, you are right though because it would give the Nuggets more of an opportunity to trade him at the end of the year if that is what he really wants.

My opinion on this is because he took a pay cut to play for the Knicks he knows our system can build up your stats at times so he was probably hoping to play huge minutes for the Knicks build his stats up like crazy and see a great payday..(ex. david lee) Therefor that explains why he was so mad to be traded from the Knicks..I could even see him being interested in trading back for the Knicks..Not so he can stay there just so he can do his thing and leave due to the crazy stats he'd put up..Just my theory though

Felton actually turned down a long term deal at 6 million per year to remain with the bobcats despite wanting to remain in NC. They're weren't willing to offer any more in order to keep Felton.

I guess you can argue for Nelson and Miller, but I don't think Kidd is better. Kidd is also a horrible scorer with a sub 40% FG% and about 8 points per game. Felton has the youth speed and defense advantage over Kidd. Also, normally Felton hits his free throws I don't know what happened in Denver. His hand is probably still injured.

In his defense, he has been playing on a bad ankle for the past 3 or 4 games. Hopefully, after this time off/rest we will see him put up better offensive numbers the rest of the way.

Paycut? He got paid considerably more to join the Knicks then anybody else would pay him, he took the lower years to get the bigger money now. As for getting overpaid when he leaves D'antoni's system, if that is his goal he should do some research. Karl's system has created more overpaid bad contracts for much longer then D'Antoni could ever dream about. Just take a look around the league, right now Najera, Petro, Dahntay Jones, Greg Buckner, Linas Kleiza, and Reggie Evans, are all being overpaid directly due to their time in Denver. How many players can D'Antoni and the Knicks claim that about.
