yeah right...

Every member of North Carolina's starting five projects a NBA level grade and do things on a routine basis that reminds of this, yet Barnes gets the hype.

I can't help but think that if Barnes played for a different team his stock would be much lower. He doesn't have to carry his team like most other top 10 prospects and can focus on what he does best: catch and shoot, defend. There really is no need for him to create and he gets easy open chances from his teammates. It also helps that his team gets the media attention and can usually win with him being the 4th best player on the court. Zeller, Henson and Marshall are more important than him imo

Perry Jones shot 33% (15 or 53) on jumpshots this year. He's not a good shooter outside of dunks, layups and tip-ins.

This is the most complete destruction I've ever seen in a Sweet 16 game. The frontcourt of Zellers/Henson/Barnes is just too big & good for Marquette to do anything.

UNC is going to be very tough to beat with the way they're rolling.

Baylor ranked 263rd in assists per game.

I'm sure you can somehow associate blame to Perry for this. I mean, if he only had heart that stat would have been much higher, right?

Or if he was playing like this without the high school hype. Agreed he might be more of a Jordan Hamilton level prospect. The difference between those two prospects specifically reminds me a bit of Flynn getting projected top 7 and Lawson non lotto which in retrospect is bizarre

Hamilton might be underrated though. SFs who are athletic enough to defend while being sharpshooter 3pt guys are much harder to get than it seems.

If our team's positional need was at power forward, no one would be justifying their ability to play small forward just look at the NBA Draft board here. The general consensus outside of Raptors board is they are both legit four's. Both of their claim to being able to handle the SF position in the NBA is they played it in high school but in their college games, it was non-existent.

DWill's game is powering his way into the paint from the low block, playing the pick and roll, and shooting the occasional three his game similar to the way Amare plays. P. Jones game consist of put backs, running the floor, and moves in the post areas (high and low) similar to the way Bosh plays. Sure they can create around the perimeter occasionally like a SF but they are not effective out there. I'm not going to comment about their defense on small forwards because they only defended bigs in college so it would be unfair to speak about that area.

The only response I will say is Perry actually has perimeter skill and mobility. He can shoot off picks, curls, and attack the paint with the dribble.

Which are all characteristics of a mobile PF like a Bosh. I honestly think his best case scenario is a Chris Bosh if he is motivated and works hard but I don't see him becoming a SF in the mold of KD if that is who everyone has him compared to.

I'm a fan of DWill too and wold love to have him here if we get rid of one of our PF's and Irving is gone. But those clips don't show off any SF skills. All it shows is him running out and dunking. If people could remember early Bosh, he did a lot of that too. That didn't make Bosh a SF even though I remember in his first few seasons, there was always a thread about playing him there.

good luck man but OSU should win that one so you shouldn't get your hopes up. Did you at least take the points?

Ohio is going to rip Kentucky's chest open and take their heart out and chew it and spit it out.

well i thought so but i needed to make some quick profit this weekend and kentucky has 3.1 for a win + the 1.4 for NCarolina made me think it could be an interesting bet...if duke could lose last night i have a feeling Ohio State could also lose tonight...but so far i started ok with the NC game..

did you parlay the bets or do them separate? UNC has this game in the bag so congrats on that. UK will have a hard time dealing with Sullinger, Thriebler, Lighty, Lauderdale and Buford.

Barnes might have disappointed... or he might have shown that he can actually do more than what he's showing now and would be a clear cut number one. It's hard to tell, since he really isn't asked to. Also, some of those other guys get to take a ton of shots which makes their stats look better. The more I watch the more I think he's 1A to Kyrie.

And the dunk :P
