Mo Evans Has Nice Handwriting: 3/25 GDT
So midway through two days of sweet sixteen basketball you're a little tired of high quality basketball product and you want to sit back and relax with some amateur ball and unwind. I have good news, tonight the Washington Wizards will be in Denver, so will the Denver Nuggets, tune in at 9:00 PM to see if this results in basketball.
Also, nobody on the team currently has an intact final four, Nick Young picked his alma mater (USC) to go out in the round of 32. A traitorous, Trojan, a shameful Trojan. As for...
The Game Itself:
Tonight the Wizards will not win their second game away from home this year (<-spoilers) but Jordan Crawford will probably score twenty points again or something, maybe he'll shoot 40% from the field this time.
A question to ponder for the evening:
Where the hell are Danilo Gallinari's tattoos? Do the Nuggets know he doesn't have any? Will they require him to get one over the off season?

Thanks Ed Wood. Just in under the wire (I don't even know how to start a thread or make a game thread).
First I've seen of Denver since the trade. Which school does the average Denverite root for in the NCAAs? Is it snowing in Denver? What's the Wizards record in the snow?
Come on Wizards! 2-39 on the road has a nice ring to it.

McGee starting strong, blowing an "I kin do this" 1 on 2 and ignoring the trailing help.

Galo has a really nice offensive skillset. Hits threes, draws fouls, is a great foul shooter, that just about ideal for a wing player.

NY is missing the guys they gave up in the Melo trade.
McGee has already blown two breaks trying to dribble.

I though Dano was basically the perfect three for D'antoni's system. I really don't think they'll be appreciably better with Melo unless they can add a third big time player, like Paul.
I would love to have Gallinari <sp> on the Wiz.

I think it's a safe bet that we'll lose too. Lottery balls!

I must confess that I am watching my fair share of Kentucky and Ohio State.

Given our lottery-bound status, that's nothing to confess - it's doing your civic duty as a draft-educated Wizards fan.

It is no one's civic duty to watch Kentucky.
And what I have seen of this game has reminded me both why everyone was fantasizing about Kevin developing into a Nene kinda guy both because of how effective Nene is as a player and because of the combination of power and quickness that both guys have and that is the rate limiting step in the hoop producing reaction that is Nene.
No proofreading 4 lyfe, can't even edit it because it's been quoted.

WizarDynasty meets Hoopalotta, with flair and a twist. That belongs in the poetry thread.
I've been switching over to the VCU-FSU game, mostly to see Leonard Hamilton in all his glory.

I'm lucky, I lost my feed for the Wiz game thus I get to watch hope instead of misery. My conscience is clear.

Looking at the box score, I'm happy to see that Nick had an horrific night. We need to get his season averages down before the offseason to drive down his free agency price.

Quality Loss!
Crawford and Booker played well. McGee outplayed perhaps by Birdman, but 13 and 13 in 23 minutes is staggering production. I like that Nick and Wall shot them out going a combined 6-25. Everybody played. Cool.
The loss with Sacramento and Cleveland both winning makes anything possible. Washington could get the worse record overall if they keep this up.

Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

For me, the sad thing (still) about McGee is that I expect him, with his length and his leap, to get up there, get rebounds, get blocks (although I think he had none tonight), make impossible offensive moves real, and fill out a box score. I also expect him to do things throughout the game: dribble the length of the court, attempt to penetrate defenders far from the basket, follow the ball rather than his man, forget what turf he needs to be guarding, bite on fakes, try to block the unblockable and instead foul the unfoulable. And so on.
I don't really mind quality losses, but I'd love to see one more road win.
