I think there's a 50/50 chance with Barnes.

I think Irving and Williams are going to be projected too high in the draft for them to go back to school. But, who knows?

:( Let's hope one of Williams or Barnes gets their team to the championship. 2006 all over again, argh.

Highly agree.

Irving
Barnes
Williams
Sullinger
Knight
Kanter
Valanciunas
Jones
Walker
Jones

That's 10 good prospects who have some pretty good potential... I actually think it could be better than a lot of the past drafts. There's no 150% clear #1 pick.. but there's a lot of guys who have good potential... it's an ideal draft to be picking around #5, because there really isn't much of a drop off in talent.

Makes sense. I'm not as big on the high risk/ high reward.

Irving/Barnes are there because they have the most well rounded skills coupled with the requisite size/skill/athleticism. Call them safe upside picks if you will.

That's why I'm with you on these guys.

Now about Knight, you nailed it, I kind of look at him like Holiday. Difference is, I'm extremely high on Holiday's potential while you don't seem to be. Just like Knight, Holiday was the youngest prospect in his class, remember, Holiday is only only 19yrs old as an NBA soph. Both have great size and have potential on both sides of the ball.

I like Holiday. He's better than anyone we have. I just don't don't see him as the type of PG to lead you deep into the playoffs (unless you have an elite SG like Jordan/ Kobe or a Dwight Howard/ Hakeem). He seems like a complimentry PG, rather than a PG that leads his team.

I could eat my words eventually, but right now I don't see Holiday becoming a career allstar.

I could be wrong about Knight & I sure as hell hope I am if we call his name on draft day.

I think Kanter, Valanciunas, Perry Jones and most likely Walker are the only one who are for sure going to declare. I can just see Fredette going top 10 lol

I was really hoping someone above us would take Sullinger, letting one of the better prospects drop to us. This bodes well for Kanter/Valanciunas.

Watch Kentucky reach the Final and lose. All their freshmen might want to stay another year :D

The draft was considered "weak" because scouts and draft websites want to jump to conclusions on players too early, and that's especially the case since one-and-done freshman dominate college basketball. Play an insane eight games to start the season and websites are ready to appoint you Jesus in a point guard jersey. Start the season mediocre and people claim you are a low first round grade ala Brandon Knight.

Draft websites aren't watching games and go off boxscores. DraftExpress is a perfectly good example. Their board has been fluid the entire season sans their Jesus label on Kyrie Irving.

What's the point on that approach? Taking which player is playing well is a part of being a scout. But mostly it should be about skills + measurables + production. If all it took to make a draft board was to wait till a player has a streak of good games then anyone could do it. DraftExpress loses credibility while a site like NBADraft.net gains it. At least they had D. Williams going #1 and stood behind that belief long before his hot tournament stretch.

Wasn't there a report that Knight was thinking about going to play overseas because he felt it helped Jennings' overall game for the NBA? I think he's in this for the bigger picture.. the NBA. Besides, Calipari will probably recruit another top PG prospect to replace him.

I wonder if the prospect of being drafted by the Raptors is having an affect on some players' decision to go pro

Sullinger Pisses me Off!!!

I wanted him to strengthen the draft and have one of the other teams that pick
in front of us take him letting a better prospect fall to us.

At least Sacramento won today we gotta catch them for 4th worst.

btw let me ask you guys this because I haven't seen much of Burks

Other than being a year younger what make Harrison Barnes a better prospect than Alec Burks?
From what I've read, Burks seems to have great potential himself (with great athleticism and skill set) while having produced much more. Obviously not for us because he's a 2, but i am just curious

I think his agent is going to brainwash him and make him go str8 to the draft 8-)

+ Doron Lamb - Harrellson who's a senior.
Imagine if Kanter was eligible and he returned too.
Better than the POS team we have.

First of all, Brandon Knight is 100% coming to the NBA next year. Cali said he's a 1-and-done calibre player - HIS COACH SAID THAT - now, Cal might be saying that cause he has a top 3 HS prospect (Marquis Teague, PG) coming to town next year so he wants to clear the slate like he usually does with elite PGs.

Also, Kyrie Irving is 100% leaving also - He's a consensus top 3 pick - plus Duke has 2 elite HS prospects who can play PG coming in (Quinn Cooke, Austin Rivers) not to mention Seth Curry who is too short to play SG in the NBA just like his bro.

Harrison Barnes is clearly a one and done prospect.

So theres 3 key players coming - throw in Kanter - who is forced to come, and P Jones who is getting pushed out of Baylor by my favourite HS prospect, Quincy Miller.

So theres 5 legit Toronto Raptors prospects - ALL 100% coming to the NBA next year

Irving
Barnes
P Jones
Knight
Kanter

there's a solid top 5.

I wouldn't say 100%... more like 85%... also, I think Barnes might just stay in college unless he wins the ship this year. He's been mentioned as a guy who values his education and he wants to make a difference in college... he didn't just go in to leave after a disappointing season. But I def like all of those prospects... there's some good value in the top of this draft for sure.

Sources say Barnes will likely stay another year, two factors coming in play that will have him declare... 1) if he leads UNC to a title, theres nothing left to prove so enter the draft, 2) two highly touted recruits coming in next year : PJ hairston (6-5 guard + 230 pound) and James McAdoo (6-8 + 210 pound)

How will HB play with those two especially when they are capable of playing forward spots. Hairston is a lights out shooter and McAdoo is a very versatile player that can play sf/pf spot.

Will HB get any touches if all Zeller, Henson, Hairston and McADoo are on the same team.....unless if Z and Henson declare this yr....HB still get touches on a team with those two newbies then...

I hope HB declares and gives us more options like u said.
