Those who go:
Carter, Lopez

Stay:
Nash, Hill

I think next year we see: Gortat, Frye, Nash, Dudley, and Hill.
The Phoenix Suns - 54-28. Projected Record: 54-28 3rd Seed

The Phoenix Suns - 2010-2011 Projected Record: 30-52 3rd lottery pick.

Rebuild mode.

Keep Lopez, get rid of Carter.

Deal Nash and picks to acquire a higher pick and a promising young guard and get Perry Jones.

Try deal J Chill for a pick or anything cheap assuming Grant stays around.

Take on no bad contracts.

Give picks GT.

Going: Carter, Pietrus (takes player option)

Starting: Nash (PG), Dudley (SG), Hill (SF), Frye (PF), Gortat (C)

Bench: Brooks/Dowdell (PG), ??? (SG), Childress (SF), Warrick/Lawal (PF), Lopez/Siler (C)

FA and draft: Look for a backup SG

Trades: Upgrade backup PF by swapping Warrick, Siler, and/or Lawal for Lou Amundson

An offseason of getting rid of Carter, Pietrus, maybe Lopez and hopefully Warrick while adding Lou and Afflalo sounds nice to me. I don't want to re-sign Brooks to keep him. Possible S&T. Keep Nash and Hill. Dudley, Childress, Frye, and Gortat are the future core.

I was wondering about that. Is he worth it. What happens to him when Nash leaves? Can he create his own shot or at least post? In other words is he worth more than Channing Frye?

Negative. He is a white Channing Frye.

I am thinking with the emergence of Gortat, I can see Nash hanging out 1 more season, seeing if the Suns pick up one more piece giving them a legit team. Before that I thought he was gone.

Okay, let's get one thing straight.

There is no situation for Nash to be traded. He is infinitely more valuable to the Suns than any other team. If you're going to trade him to a contender, the Lakers don't need him, the Spurs don't need him, Miami doesn't have the assets to get him and don't need another guy who always has the ball, the Celtics don't need him, the Bulls don't need him, the Thunder don't need him. Orlando doesn't have anything we want, and he doesn't fit in. Who else is there? It needs to stop being said. If he gets dealt, it's going to be to a **** team who can give us picks and potential, and I don't think that will happen. It'd be against Nash's wishes. Besides, no one's going to give up anything what we'd want for Nash, and any team who is not a contender won't see any reason to trade for a guy like him.

Let's stop saying stupid things. The only way Nash gets dealt is if Brooks is re-signed. And if he's not matched, then we gave up Dragic and a pick for nothing. Unless we sign and trade Brooks, which I guess is always a possibility.

Keep your focus in this thread.

when the suns finally rebuild this offseason... do you think gentry keep his job or they bring in someone else?

Atlanta doesn't make sense either. They don't play the style that maximizes his potential, and in order to get him here, they'll have to give up the one guy that makes the most sense to play with him.

Not gonna happen.

New York? No. What's New York going to give us? They gutted their team for Carmelo.

Nash could also be dealt as an expiring, be bought out, and to the team of his choice for the MLE

Return to Phoenix Suns
