ESPN.com - Kings scoring leader Anze Kopitar will be out approximately six weeks with a broken right ankle, coach Terry Murray said following a 4-1 victory Saturday afternoon against the visiting Avalanche, according to an ESPN.com report.


Huge blow for the Kings. With the playoff race so close in the west they could lose their playoff spot because of this injury. Calgary and Dallas are on the outside looking in and the Kings have a very tough schedule to end the season.

What do you guys think? Are the Kings playoff hopes in jeopardy now?

I think they're still in, but I don't think they're a viable threat anymore
