There was a game last night?

Go Caps!

Honestly, considering what McGee was looking like just a month ago (I was in extreme favor of benching his but) he has been playing tremendous lately, just letting thegame come to him instead of going for style points all the time. He still has much to learn, but I can't help but be excited about how he's been playing. Kid needs two things, muscle and to get his head right in terms of defending properly and when to take advantage of his length, skill, and athleticism on offense. There may be hope for him yet and give him credit when it's due.

great post - he still has things to learn for sure but it appears to me
that he is showing signs of a more thoughtful approach to the game.

he could bulk up more but I wonder if that wouldn't diminish some
of his advantages. He's never going to have enough junk in the trunk
to be space heater. Hopefully Seraphin (or Kanter) can provide that
in the fullness of time.

Since I've been a vocal critic, it's only fair for me to applaud the
productivity. He's had 2 of his best games ever in the last couple
weeks and that doesn't even count the controversial tripdub.

other notes on the game - +1 on Nate's comment re Booker. I miss
watching him. He might have been of use guarding Lee.

Crawford...definitely streaky and needs to become a better defender
although Ellis is a premier scorer. Still not bad for an inexperienced rook.

And since I can't see the game, any scouting on who's guarding who between Wall & Crawford on Ellis & Curry? Seems like Ellis is lights out while Curry has had a subpar game. If I had to guess - Wall on Ellis, Crawford on Curry? Or is it another zone special from the Flipper?

Yi had Lee.

Crawford had Ellis.

When Flip put Jeffers in to guard Ellis in the 2nd half, he was somewhat
effective in that role.

I don't think it was McGee's fault that Lee went off.
