not a chance. I'd do Bargnani for Outlaw+Lopez, but nothing more than that. Lopez hasn't looked any better than Bargs this year (who is locked up, while Lopez becomes an FA soon), and he's running out of 'potential' to make up for the difference.

Phoenix Trades
To Tor: C Marcin Gortat and SG/SF Jared Dudley

Reason for Toronto:
Toronto gets two tougher players. Dudly can back up Demar and the SG and Gortat would be a big defensive upgrade at Center. This allows Ed and Amir to be the power forwards beside a center that will help rebound.

- Draft Harrison Barns, a wing player with poise, defence and a shot to complement derozen.
- Resign Reggie at minimum or close to it. He provides leadership the team needs and can be effective in short stints or to back up for injuries to Davis and Amir.
- Resign weems at minimum, he wont play much but I think there is something to be said for team unity and I think he is friends with a lot of the core players (youngunz).
- Sign Marc Gasol, just throw everything Toronto can at him and hope Memphis doesnt match.
- Toronto can draft their future PG in 2012 with a stronger PG class and replace Calderon. Its not urgent to get a PG this year because Calderon is a vet which we need and will help get our young core touches for another year of development.
- Kleza and Barbosa should be dumped for second round picks just to get rid of there salary if possible before or during the season.

Gasol / Gortat / Dorsey
Davis / A.Johnson / Evans
Barns / J.Johnson / Kleza
Derozen / Dudly / Weems
Calderon / Bayless/ Barbosa

Thats amazing trade. Front court is going to look so solid right now.

Not sure that would fly with them after they just resigned Channing Frye in the 2010 offseason. Why would they want Bargnani and Alabi?

Raps trade
Calderon + J.Johnson
Rockets trade
Lowry + T. Williams

I think Terrence Williams would be a monster, and Lowry plays some good defense.

I'd like to have Gortat next to Bargnani. Would be interesting to see what he could do.

I worry about Williams people skills. I hear he's a headcase but if he ever pulls it together I'd trade for him. I really enjoy what JJ has brought to the table since his arrival and would prefer to keep him since I don't know how Williams is defensively but if an opportunity to trade Calderon comes up, I think we should jump on it. Again, it's gonna be hard to see Caldy go even though I want him traded but if everything looks properly, I'd do this.

Preferably, I'd try a Calderon for Miller + pick. I don't know if the Blazers bite this but it's worth a try.

Something else I thought about was a deal surrounding Calderon + Bargs for Udrih + Dalembert (resigned) + SAC 1st.

Again, I don't know if they bite.

Makes no sense with the future in mind. This is more of a win-now move. This team will make it to the second-round if we're lucky.

A little birdie says the Timberwolves have received word from Ricky Rubio's family that he's open to signing with them for next season — if there is a season.

to make room and make him comfortable i offer this.

To TOR: Flynn + Biedrins
To GSW: Ridnour + J.Johnson + #18
To MIN: #11 (Vesley) + Calderon

then

To TOR: Bell
To GSW: TE + conditional 2nd (wont ever see it)

the way i see it is Biedrins value is = to Calderon even though id rather have Jose but their contracts are the same. Johnson/Flynn i also think is close and pretty even. Now if MIN wanted Johnson then maybe that could work?

Wolves get up into the lotto and pick someone like Vesley at the SF spot and grab Kanter/Val with their pick. Calderon is Rubios spanish teammate and will make him comfortable

Warriors move down but save 9 million and over 20 million in total. They grab a nice prospect like JJ and Ridnour gives them a nice 3rd guard to help ease the minutes off Ellis

Flynn / Bayless / Bell
Derozan / Barbosa
Barnes (#4) / Klezia / Weems
Davis / Johnson
Bargnani / Biedrins / Alabi

i like that team. We have 12.7 million in expiring contracts too (Bell + Barbosa) to make a move at the deadline.

Curry / Ridnour / Lin
Ellis / Hamilton / Williams
Wright / Johnson / Thorton
Lee / Udoh
C / Amundson

* have 20 million in cap space after this deal.

Calderon / Rubio (until hes ready)
Johnson / Webster / Ellington
Beasley / Vesley / Hayward
Love / Randolph / Tolliver
Kanter / Darko / Pekovic

Marvin for Bargnani and then Biedrins for TPE (idea from T&T section). Draft Knight. End up with Calderon, Derozan, Marvin, Ed, Biedrins with Knight, Barbosa, JJ, Evans, Amir as the main guys off the bench. I like that team.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

I wonder if the Jazz would be dumb enough to do a

Favors/Hayward for DD/Davis type deal.

Really? Favors is a young player with a bright future but to trade BOTH Davis and DD? Davis and Favors are pretty much even at this point of their career and DeMar just hsits all over hayward.

Favors is a younger, more athletic and explosive than Davis.
Hayward's athleticism is underrated; he is a better passer, defender, and rebounder than DD already.

You're not seriously suggesting we trade DD for Hayward? DD is 1 year older but a much much better scorer than Hayward. He's the 2nd option on our team and is shooting a better percentage than Hayward. Hayward's rebounding isn't that much better than DD to make a difference. Yes hayward' is athletiic but he's still not as athletic as DD and has nowhere near the body control that DD has nor is he as aggressive as DD.

Also, what would be the point of that trade? You want to lose a legit scoring option for 1 or 2 more rebounds and assists? Hayward is a small forward and we already have a better defender at that position in Johnson.

This isn't a bad trade. I like this a lot for all teams involved. Why do you say the Bobcats won't do it? Because of their pick and Jordan is trying to rebuild? Perhaps then we take a raincheque and ask for their 2012 pick instead? That way they can still add a young piece this year. But I think that trade is pretty good for Charlotte except for maybe the Kleiza contract but other than that...I don't see why not. Then they could find a new home for Jackson since Jordan was trying to move him earlier and they have a new offensive weapon in Bargnani. Now they'd be searching for a C.

I see Kleiza as a cheaper version of what Diaw provides for the Bobcats. If they don't want Kleiza, I'm willing to consider Amir instead but would rather not.

My main worry is that Knight and Walker both won't be available with the Bobcat's pick.

Another scenario

1. Toronto Trade Bargs to Detroit for Villanueva + Detroit 1st rounder

Detroit after trade
Monroe/Wallace/Alabi
Bargs/Wilcox/Maxiell
Prince/Daye
Hamilton/McGrady/Gordon
Stuckey/Bynum

2. Trade Calderon + Kleiza + Alabi to Charlotte for Diaw + Diop

Charlotte after trade
Brown/Thomas/Alabi
Thomas/Kleiza/Cunningham/White
Jackson/Kleiza/Najera
Henderson/Carroll
Augustin/Calderon/Livingston

3. Draft Barnes and Walker/Knight

4a. Sign and trade De-Andre Jordan (10mil) for Diaw
4b. Trade Diop + Bayless for Mo Williams

LAC after trade
Kaman/Diop/Cook
Griffin/Diaw/Smith/Diogu
Diaw/Gomes
Gordon/Foye
Bledsoe/Bayless

5. Resign Evans, Weems, Dosey to cheap contracts
Jordan/Amir/Evans
Ed/Villanueva/Dorsey
Barnes/JJohnson/Weems
DeRozan/Barbosa/Weems
Walker or Knight/MWilliams/Barbosa

Trade Villanueva for a backup C
