Hansbrough has been unleashed :o

Edit: This should remove any doubts that people have about Sullinger, Hansbrough and Sully have the same measurements. Hansbrough was a 4-year player, Sully only a freshman.....plenty of upside left and the guy could start tomorrow for us at PF.

Hansbrough just finds a way to get things done, he's a winner and finds a way to suceed. In this case he's developed a deadly mid-ranged game, and his first step is fast enough to blow by other, bigger 4's when they try to close out, allowing hiim to get to the line.

He's getting better each game, he could average 20 ppg in the league.

In Hotlanta on business. Just got back from the Bulls Hawks. Man, Rose is good. Explosive but completely in control on every possession. It's his world, everyone else just plays in it.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him win MVP.

Also, talked to a bunch of Hawks fans.. Mostly they like the K-honey trade, but they all realize the team has plateaued and will never challenge for a title. They are mostly pissed the team didn't seek to hire Thibodeaux (and man, I can see why.. The bulls get at you defensively and work like crazy off the ball on defense. This team could win it all).

They also aren't crazy about Josh Smith (talented but a headcase, gets too distracted by refs, coaching moves, etc)

Several of them are convinced Howard is coming home.

Interesting. Orlando could do a lot worse than Al Horford in a Howard sign-and-trade scenario (I'm assuming they wouldn't want Josh Smith and ATL won't have cap room). Problem is Atlanta would still have holes at SF and PG, plus a starting-to-age wing scorer in Joe Johnson who will be impossible to move.

Josh smith is a strange case. On offense he would remind you of Blatche/Mcgee with his low IQ play. He is constantly trying to lead the break with predictably poor results and settles for way too many jumpers.

Defensively his IQ goes up and he gives good effort although he doesn't box out much.

I think people on this board probably overrate Smith because he regularly abuses the Wizards.

Arenas starts and plays 43 minutes. 2-11 from the field with 9 points, 5 assists, 10 rebounds, and 5 turnovers. Magic lose to the Knicks in OT.

Epic choke in progress. The Cavs have handled the zone about as well as the Wizards did.

Cavs win!
Cavs win!
Cavs win!

A 12-0 run late in the game gave Cleveland the win.

Props to ya'll for making me aware of the game and score. Watching that 4th quarter was schadenfreude at its finest.

With Bron Bron gone I almost root for Cleveland's fans. They are 3rd in the NBA in attendance despite their level of suck. Props to them, they were out of their minds tonight.

Reading through an ESPN article regarding holes on playoff teams i noticed this gem.

Orlando Magic -- Point guard

You could probably make a case that the presence of Dwight Howard makes every other position look like a hole, but none are more poisonous than the failed Gilbert Arenas experiment. The $18 million man is shooting a paltry 34 percent from the floor (26 percent on 3s), and when he's on the floor, he shoots more often than any other Magic player -- and that includes Howard. But the thing is, the Magic don't have a better alternative. They can't depend on Chris Duhon, who is more turnover-prone than a Belgian waffle maker.

To use a call-up now to try-out some PG's would be to admit failure with Gilbert. They should try to trade Orton for a pick that gets them Nolan Smith or other other PG in this next draft. Orlando doesn't have a 1st round pick this summer.

There are 118 players this year who have played at least 1000 minutes and average 15 or more points per 36 minutes. Of those 118 players, Gilbert Arenas ranks dead last in TS% at .465. He also ranks dead last in ORtg. Given what we know about his defense, one can fairly argue that he is literally the worst regular rotation player in basketball.

It's really sad to see how much he has declined. I don't understand it. Even last year when his knee was in worse shape, he was a much better basketball player. He is absolutely wretched right now.
