I love Eddie Johnson. He doesn't BS around when it comes to blown calls or anything. Whatever happens, I hope he's one of the commentators next year.

I dont like any of our TV guys really, but atleast Gary Bender has a good speaking voice, unlike Scott Williams. That man cannot get through a sentence without mispronouncing, slurring, or just plain using the wrong words. It is painful to listen to. Leander uses the same phrases constantly and EJ comes off as full of himself, but they just cant top how bad Scott Williams is...imo

I like Leander not because of his phrases (which range from OK to a bit embarrassing) but because when he's announcing he sounds like he's having a hell of a lot of fun, and that's really a big plus for me.

It's for the best...most of the time I see his name posted here it's quickly followed by "senile." Any time a whistle is blown he just guesses what the call is and is right maybe half of the time. And he constantly mixes up which players do what- score, rebound, foul etc.

He was a nobody in the league for the most part and played with the Suns for I think like 2 seasons. We need to get him out of the booth and replace him with just about anyone.

+9001. He always brags about his championship years with the Bulls as if he was a major part of the team back then and, as you said, never shuts the **** up.

I like Leander and EJ a lot. EJ is awesome, good personality and he also gives great insight on the parts of the game that most fans wouldn't notice, from a former-player's perspective. The dude just knows and loves basketball.

I'll agree with this. His catch phrases are cheesy as heck, but if I happen to be away from the TV, I can tell by his reaction if I missed something spectacular and I come running back. He seems to genuinely enjoy being a part of the game.

Yeah. That's exactly why I like him too.

he had one last night that I wish I could remember - it actually made me run the tivo back. Anyone recall a particularly bad turn of phrase? Came when a player drove to the hoop, a Sun.

honestly I like everybody except Scott Williams

And I'd actually miss Williams and his terribleness, simply because I've become used to it now.
