I rather have Anthony Randolph than Kevin Love

Post#1 » by Michael8Beasley » Thu Mar 31, 2011 2:04 am

I rather the Wolves start and play Anthony Randolph more than Kevin Love because he has better defensive impact and Love doesn't want to sign a extension here.

Anthony potential/ceiling is also way higher than Kevin Love who is overrated like crazy.

What do you guys think?

Am I the only person hoping the Wolves will send Kevin Love packing for a couple of good role players. Something like James Harden + Ibaka for Kevin Love would be great.

Not only add another great defender, but we have another great finisher and great playmaker in James Harden. We could either add James as 6th man or he could start over Wesley.

PG Rubio/Luke
SG Harden/Wesley/Wayne
SF Beasley/Webster
PF Anthony Randoplh/Anthony Tolliver
C Ibaka/ Darko/Pek

Also adding a new coach would be great for the Wolves :D

That roster is awful. Would struggle to win 15 games. Anthony Randolph's been living off potential for like 4 seasons.

I keep seeing Harden/Ibaka for Love on this forum... why?

Why do people insist on making threads to expose the world to their stupid opinions?

When AR gets his chance he shows he can be productive.

He played amazing in his 1st two starts for Kevin Love. And it was also against good defensive teams.

Vs Dallas 31/11/3 70fg%
vs OKC 24/15/2/ 56FG%

Take it from a Bulls fan, you don't trade an all-star caliber player to accommodate unproven talent. See Brand for Chandler trade. And no offense, seeing how it might be hard to lure free agents to Minnesota you better keep what you've got in Love.

Anthony Randolph might be lucky to ever be as good as Love was his rookie year. Hes been nothing but potential for a while and hasn't shown many signs of being able to put his game together.

OKC would not trade both Harden and Ibaka for Love. We value this thing called defense in OKC

First off, Love has NEVER said he doesn't want to sign an extension in Minny. His defensive impact isn't great, but it's no where near as bad as a lot of people have been making it out to be this season. He's improved his post defense as the season's progressed.

Randolph has shown great signs, but he hasn't been consistent enough with big minutes to even think of considering as a replacement.

Why is it an "either or" thing? Minnesota can have, and does have, both.

Lets talk about overreaction after Randolph had 3 good games and Love got back from injury.

Ibaka and Harden for Love sounds ok to me. Except Ibaka isn't a center and the wolves already have 3 other PF's beside Love in Beasley, Randolph and Tolliver. If you could use those three guys and one of the latter picks in some combination to get Bogut you might have the beginning of a good team. If the wolves were to draft a wing with their first round pick, hold onto Tolliver and Rubio does arrive:

Bogut Darko
Ibaka Tolliver
Wes Webster
Harden Barnes
Rubio Ridnour

This looks fairly promising to me. Hmmm, should have posted this in the off-season thread, it's a work of genius.
