+1

I'm starting to think of this also. Maybe this is actually the role Phil wants for Shannon? I don't think I have seen Phil get mad or benched Shannon, when hes playing poor or whenever he makes a dumb play. Even if hes playing bad he still gets his minutes, so maybe Phil actually gave Shannon the license to chuck?

phil always takes his sorry ass out but its mostly for defensives f*** ups. ther're making sure kobe saves his legs so there not going to sub him for erratic shooting.

Also good ball handling isnt all about high BBIQ so comparing jr smith (that actually has talent) to brown is not even in the same ball park. Browns problem is he needs to slow the F*** down, let things come to him as oppose to chucking with a hand right in your face.

Come playoff his role will be more define so im not too worried

It has been feast or famine with the dude. At the beginning of the season he was smart with his shot selection but as the season has progressed he has put the ball on the floor way to much. He needs to play within his limits. As of right now he's nothing more than a highlight dunker.

If he comes back next year he has to work on his ball handling in the off season
