It was a done deal :(. They even had the PRESS RELEASE DRAFTED.

I love Marion, but god dang...

Towards the end of it, the Suns were being asked to move Amar'e Stoudemire in a deal for KG, not Shawn Marion. At the time, STAT for KG wasn't as clear-cut as it is now...Obviously the Suns FO (and pretty much everyone) was enamored with Amar'e's potential--Unfortunately Amar'e's game isn't as epic as anticipated.

No, rsavaj is right.

Though it did turn into an Amare/Garnett thing when the media caught wind, the original deal was Marion for Garnett.

But that's getting off topic.

Comparing Johnson to Nash is like comparing Rose to Paul. I mean, you can do it... but why would you? In the second, clearly Paul is a better true PG and Rose the better "combo" guard. Same applies to Johnson and Nash for me.

I don't understand the problem in saying that each was the best the Suns have had in each regard.

It became Amare for KG only after Marion's agent told Boston he wouldn't sign an extension there.

Nash
Raja
Hill
KG
Amare

Boris
LB

are you freaking kidding me?

I say we'd be working on our 4th title in a row this season if that happened....

Not to mention Amare would start to pick up on that KG intensity. He would've been scary :o
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Kinda glad it didnt happen. KG is proving himself to be one of the biggest cocksuckers ever.

Yeah, I wouldn't want Michael Jordan on my team either. I heard he was a real prick in his playing days. 8-)

Amar'e was so good no one ever cared about whether he played defense or not until he got to the NBA, then there was never a coach or teammate who particularly stressed that half of the game. Imagine if he'd had a few years playing with KG ...... some of it would have to rub off

I was thinking about that the other day - if we had KG, I'm pretty sure we'd find ways to tolerate his eccentricities
