No More Black In Color Scheme
This has always agitated me. Why all the black? Our team dosen' look like the blue jays. How hard is it to switch the black to blue?
It makes no sense to have black uni's, hats, helmets, socks, they should all be blue for christ sake!

I like the black. Even thinking about buying an all black blue jay baseball cap.

I agree, I don't like the black jerseys. They have a lot of shades of blue that they can work with.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but they've ditched the powder blues for this year.

Here's hoping they bring back the early 90's dapper-than-thou jerseys in exchange.

I wonder what the motivation for that was? In terms of merchandise I see many people wearing those around more than any other Jays jersey.

There's your colour scheme. Its exactly what we use. Quit whining otherwise you'll end up with something like this.

Against the black - against any team from any league that adopts black into their colour scheme. Too generic for my liking.
And throwbacks have nothing to do with living in the past...they sell b/c they're better looking jerseys. I'd be happy with the early 90s look and nothing else.

I by far like the black with blue trim jerseys the best....
the arguement about not to have black because we arnt the black jays shouldnt fly because than we shouldnt have grey or white either because we arnt the grey jays either.
for what it is worth I also like the raps black jerseys

Just got the results back from the lab and it turns out theres a lot of blue on that blue jay. He doesn't look like a black bird with blue trim to me.
Thats our color scheme is it? Get this guy on the Jays marketing team, stat!

Ranking of MLB caps
http://pitchersandpoets.com/2011/03/15/ ... -response/
And yea tiger7, that pic doesn't help your case at all. The hideous stylized T on the alternate cap needs to go too. Way too much black and metallic gray on all the caps and unis in general. White and gray is fine for the home/away games, but why can't we at least wear royal blue instead of black for the alternates? It's not nearly as bad as the 97-03 variations, though. Especially that tattooed bird logo, ughh.

I'm not a fan of the black either. Wish they'd go back to the blue from the late 90s/early 2000s in the Shawn Green/Carlos Delgado/Raúl Mondesí era.

Re: No More Black In Color Scheme
The best jerseys were the early 90's jerseys. They were clean looking and had a timeless classic vibe.
The Yankees have their pinstripes, we had our dapper whites.
