Barnes Suspended 1 Game - Tonight

NEW YORK, April 1, 2011 -- Matt Barnes of the Los Angeles Lakers has been suspended one game without pay for escalating an on-court altercation and actions following his ejection, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.

The incident occurred with 9:23 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Lakers' 110-82 victory over the Dallas Mavericks at Staples Center on March 31. Barnes will serve his suspension tonight when the Lakers visit the Utah Jazz at EnergySolutions Arena.

Maybe Puke Lolton will step up for once! I mean all he has to do is check Gordon Hayward a bit.

I feel bad for Barnes though considering the less money he took to be here. I hope the rest of the team gets his back and hooks him up

That's about what I expected. We should be able to wax the Jazz with or without Barnes, so there shouldn't be much of an impact.

That's BS that Barnes got 1 game and Terry got 0 games plus his Flagrant foul has been downgraded. I thought the league reviews the incident and sees who instigated the incident and what it lead to. Clearly, Terry shove lead to Blakes reaction which lead to barnes coming in. IF Terry just stayed a lil bit^h that he is and didn't shove Blake, none of that would have happened. The instigator needs to be punished here.

Now that Bit&h is still going on radio shows talking trash? Saying Barnes is soft?

I agree, both players made a non-basketball move that was an act of aggression.

Its also why I had a problem with Bynum getting two games...he made a mistake but at the very least it was a basketball move. He didn't put his arms out and try to hurt Beasley.
