Ideally we need Indy to lose 4 out of their remaining 5 to make the playoffs. Asking us to beat Miami or Orlando is really pushing it.

Also I'm pretty sure that if Indy wins on Sunday and we lose then we need to win out and Indy lose out to make the playoffs.

It was, until you said they have 5 (no wait, 4) games to play, which again completely confuses people. What does that mean?

Now, to finish the season, we have to lose two fewer games than IND to make the playoffs -- that's it.

Thats all fine and dandy if Indy and Charlotte had the same amount of games left. Indy has 5 games left, and one is against the hapless Washington Wizards. That leaves only 4 oppurtinuites to "lose 2 fewer" games than Indy, and you are also assuming we beat one of Miami or Orlando, which we would absolutely have to do...but in reality we have to beat BOTH Miami and Orlando, because Indy isn't losing 3 more games in all likelyhood

You can't erase losses.

Every team plays the 82 games. This is the reason why the number of games played doesn't matter, nor does how many games you are back in the win column. Whether we have 20 games left or two games left, the "lose two fewer games" criteria doesn't change.

According to Marvels standings...Pacers are gelling right now they'll most likey finish 36/37 - 44-45. We need to take care of all our winnable games ie. Washington,Cleveland, Detroit, Jersey and win 1 of either Orlando, Miami or Hawks games.

On top of that, they already own the tie breaker.

I don't see that happening.

We'll need to win against Washington, Cleveland, Detroit, Jersey, and at least two of Orlando/Miami/Atlanta I think to make the playoffs. We'll beat Atlanta, Washington, Cleveland and lose to Detroit, Jersey, Orlando, and Miami. Just my opinion...despite Hamilton's views on me I really do hope we make the playoffs. I'm just more pesimistic than Paydro though right now on whether we can do it.
