Yes - it's a requirement for Suns fans

This is the kind of game you sort of expect Bob Uecker to be doing the commentary

Still cheering on the Suns, but every win just positions us worse for the lottery, not that it really matters much anyways.

I'm glad to see us still playing hard though, I think if we finish the season on a roll and above .500 we are more likely to give it one last run with Nash and company.

Watching the first few minutes of the game I thought we'd get our butts kicked. The Clips were hitting shots and we once again looked lost and scared without Nash.

Obviously things turned around and we whooped them without Steve. My ideal situation for finishing the season would be having a record over .500 while still getting good draft position. Haven't looked at the standings lately, but I'm assuming we are only talking about a spot or two up in the draft if we were to lose the rest of our games as opposed to winning some. Not a big deal. And if Utah needs to be ahead of us so we don't take Jimmer, I'm okay with that too. I don't know much about college ball players but from what I've heard, he's got a great shot and that's about it. Meh.

This was a suprisingly entertaining game.

I wasn't in the mood for it at all with the playoffs out of reach and the opposition being the mediocre Clippers but the Suns really came to play.

Dowdell was particularly impressive. He could easily be our full-time backup PG next season. Dudley great too and Childress also had a nice game. Still can't understand why he was buried on the bench all season.

This is the time of year I enjoy watching prospects and possible future role players develop. Suns aren't going to the playoffs, so it is nice to try and find some positives hidden on the team.

A positive that is emerging looks to be Dowdell. Not saying he will ever be a starter, but he looks like he could become a servicable bench PG.

Gortat is a huge positive. Scoring, defensicve, rebounding center. Have Suns ever had that? A least in the past 15 years? Only question is could he score without Nash spoon feeds?

Nash and Hill - neutral. All I'm gonna say.

Not so positive is Brooks. Has flashes of elite play, but there is something there that tells me is just about himself and not the team, and that he could go cancer at a moments notice. I have gone from thumbs-up to middle finger up on Brooks.

Duds emerging as having starters potential is a huge positive. I bet he starts at the 2 next year for the Suns. I think the Suns are a better team when Duds comes off the bench, but I love to see an underdog achieve.

Childress emerging with increased PT at the end of the season is a positive. Chilly will never be a shooting threat, but his ability slash and his quick moves to the basket throw opposing defenses off stride and is fun to watch.

Not positive....Lopez ('nuff said)

win/lose are immaterial at this point - 7/8 games can't change the odds more than a hair. A very short, curly hair. From a lady

Aaron Brooks who? Dowdell has more than earned himself a good contract for next season, and if we dont sign him, I'm sure someone else will. He see the court well, isn't afraid to shoot it, and has great hands on defence.

great post. i especially agree with the brooks statements. i like him and think he's an upgrade over Dragic, but the dude definitely has attitude and there are times where you can tell he doesn't care. that just bugs me.

Dowdell is just so much better than anything we ever saw in the summer league. I hope he's around next year.
