I always hated the concept of a big board, but I thought I would share my opinion.

The raps are in desperate need of one of the following: Irving, Williams or Barnes. If none of those are available, then Kanter needs to be looked at only if he can play the C. At that point, the only other person worth drafting would be Perry Jones. I don't know enough about the euros to comment on them, but if they prove worthy then maybe one of them.

None of the other prospects should even be considered by the raptors in my opinion. Bayless is/was a better prospect than either Kemba or Knight. I don't understand why we should consider either of those two players at all.

- Kanter

- K.Walker
- Val
- B.Knight

ideally we end up with Barnes IMO but if not i think id go with Kemba...

Really really tough at this point. We really need every player to declare for the draft. If not we're screwed. We need to have Val show that he's worthy of a high pick. Kanter sounds like the real deal based on everything I've read & he has the bulk to play the C position.

I think I'd have to go with Kanter right now......based on what I know. I'm still not completely against drafting Kemba, but he is definitely not a talent level worthy of a top 5 pick. If we were to trade for another pick, I would be interested in him.

Hopefully there is a player or two that rises up the draft charts during workouts. There is usually at least one.

I doubt he'll even be as good as TJ Ford. Which isn't saying much about him or this awful draft.

I think that's actually encouraging considering he wasn't even as bad as many people think he was. If he miraculously goes from 25 to 100 on the scale, we have a superstar.

Yeah, the fact that he's that raw and still contributed as Baylor's best player is a positive thing, not a negative thing.

We need a top three pick, its that simple. After Irving, Williams, and Barnes the talent margin drops considerably.

If we're unlucky and end up with a pick in the 4-6 range I like Kanter and Knight. Ultimately I want Barnes on this team come November.

Perry Jones is going to be the second best, perhaps best player in this draft. The guy is too physically talented not to become a big time player. Considering we're going to probably going to be in the lottery for at least another year or two, I would go for the home run and take him if he does well in the workouts.

If Perry has the ability to play the 3 (which is what he wants to do), and Kyrie/Barnes is off the board, I think we should take him.

I'd be happy if we draft Perry Jones at 4th if irving and barnes are gone...it's a close tie betw him and DWill...of course some would prefer DWill. I think his ball-handling ability and athleticism allows him to play SF, he has a star-in-the-making type of ability but it sucks that he doesn't have the right mentality to do so. If we draft this kid, I hope our NEW coach and trainer staff makes him work his tail off ...I'd hate to see this kid flushes his talent right down into the toilet like that.

I don't think the talent drop off after pick 3 is all that steep. I'm still quite sceptical about both Williams and Barnes, to be honest.

Yeah the talent drop off is huge only right after the #1 pick IMO. After that, it's a crapshoot with perhaps Derrick Williams being on top of the board for most teams.

Perry I agree is raw and could be a steal. Reminds me of how everyone knew Demar was raw but could end up the best player outside of griffin.

If Bayless continues to play well and P.Jones is there I'd take him.

Bayless / PG
Derozan / Barbosa
P.Jones / Klezia
Davis / Johnson
Bargnani / C / Alabi

I would try a Jose + Johnson deal and try and get back another young PG and have the better one win (Flynn maybe?)

Lacedarius Dunn was the best player on Baylor, not Jones.

If Irving, Derrick Williams and Barnes are gone, I think it's either Perry Jones if he can play SF (determined by the workouts) or Kanter (determined by the measurements).

If Bayless can continue putting up solid #'s as a starting PG (15 ppg, 7.5 assists, 2.4 turnovers in starts with us) including 26 and 8 against Rose then I don't think we should be drafting a PG unless Irving somehow falls to our pick or we get lucky and get #1 overall.

With that said, you only take Kanter is Bargnani is being traded (which is hopefully the case). I can live with James Johnson at SF esp. if he commits to working on his shot/range this summer.

Can Jones play SF though. That's the big question. I don't think he can

Dunn was definitely not Baylor's best player, he is a ball-dominant chucker. Averaged 19.5ppg on 15.2 FGAs (39.8%), and only 2.1 assists.

he actually played like a SF in the first 4 games then started playing like a PF ever since chucker dunn was inserted into the lineup.

There's a difference between being the best scorer and being the best player. Raptors fans should know this better than most.

Meh, after today's game I can't say that I'm really high on either Knight or Walker. And is it me or are Knight's handles kinda weak for a point guard?

Perry definitely has better handles than DeMar, and I think he has the quickness to play SF. And even if he doesn't, he's nearly 7 feet tall, more than tall enough for a PF, unlike Derrick Williams who is 6-8 and would have to play PF if he can't guard 3's. I don't mind drafting a PF if he turns out to be better than Ed and Amir. If Ed can gain some more bulk we can play them together as well.

This clip obviously has subpar competition, but you can see the raw talent in this kid. He looks more smooth and natural than Williams. With the wide open spacing in the NBA, I think he will explode.

You can see how big and explosive he is in this clip:

his handles have always been weak, not much change of pace moves or hesitation moves. I think Walker had a bad night, kentucky played good defense on him.
