Jerry Sloan

Post#1 » by Herman4MVP » Sun Apr 3, 2011 8:10 pm

please, please, please...

He surely would like to prove that he still got it and we would finally have a tough and experienced coach.
Prediction for this season: Spurs beat Heat 4:2 in the finals (the revenge of Pop)
I don't like it, but it is highly possible this season with IND and OKC struggling

Jerry Sloan would absolutely murder Robin Lopez. He'd D-League his ass, give him zero minutes if he plays like crap.

Get it done.

Sloan is a terrible coach.
The Phoenix Suns - 54-28. Projected Record: 54-28 3rd Seed

The Phoenix Suns - 2010-2011 Projected Record: 30-52 3rd lottery pick.

Really? What makes you say that? He was pretty successful in Utah.

I kinda like Gentry but if Sloan was available and interested then we should at least look at that option. The guy is a fantastic coach.

He was about as successful as the string of coaches the Suns have had -- and none of them have the real reputation that he does.

His legacy is worse -- he'll always be the guy who never quite got it done -- and brought home a championship despite being stacked to the brim with talent for most of his coaching days.

Bad coach.

If Sloan ever coaches the Suns.... he'd most likely get rid of Nash and all the other players who dont play D...

so he'd keep Gortat, Hill, Dudley and maybe Pietrus and Childress... and trade everyone else.

I have a feeling Sloan will only go to coach a team that has solid ownership that backs him, young all-stars, and is a contender.

The Suns just aren't that attractive of an option. We have a notorious owner in Sarver, our best player will be retiring fairly soon (along with another one of our better players), and we aren't close to contending unless we receive some very good luck in landing a top 3 lotto pick and a lopsided trade or two in our favor.

I could see Sloan taking over for Phil Jackson next year.

Jerry Sloan a bad coach. Ouch. That hurts. Change pills. And doctor. Eat more meat. Etc, etc. Where are all this guys from? ...

Sloan in Phoenix? Great idea. The best in all the years after Westphal on the bench.

Unfortunatelly, i think Sloan retired and don't wants coach any amore.

Not really sure I'd want Sloan unless we have the right kind of players.

Nash is not one of them.

Is he cool with the running game or are we now open to becoming a defensive team? :)

Of course that would only make sense if Nash was to be traded...

Gortat, Dudley, Pietrus, Childress - we have some nice defensive effort there...

But I sadly agree with Kerrsed, I guess LA seems more likely.

Sloan is a great coach. I dont mind Gentry but Sloan would be an upgrade.

I think people overlook the difficulty of getting free agents to come play in Utah.

Not a big fan of Sloan in Phoenix, but I do know he won't get out-coached nearly as much as Gentry does.

I could see Sloan taking over in BOS if/when Doc leaves

On the Suns he'd kill Lopez as others have said...

Return to Phoenix Suns
