I have to add though, that Tweet by some random dude saying Barnes might be coming back...looks like it was premature. Zeller, Henson, and Barnes will all meet with Roy Williams today. Henson, I read, will make his decision by Saturday while Barnes himself said he will take another week and a half to decide.

This is where the agents step in. They are sure to be working on Barnes right now. They are salesmen and it shouldn't be that tough to sell Barnes on declaring.

Not that the Wizards especially need another rugged big man (what an odd thing to say as a Wizards fan) but my goodness this kid Bismack Biyombo, who I know nothing about other than that he was pretty productive in the ACB league this year, is some sort of creature:

6'9" in shoes, 243 pounds at (and I'm sure this is an underestimate but still) 4.8% body fat, a 7'7" wingspan and a 9'3" standing reach.

Oh my God.

What I said earlier:

According to DX, Bismack Biyombo is declaring for the draft. Out of Congo. 6'9'' in shoes, 6'7'' without them, but he has a 7'7'' wingspan. DX has nothing on this guy as of now, but needless to say I'm very intrigued. Could be the next Ibaka for all we know. DX has him rated as the 20th best prospect. Gonna try and find some You Tube links later to see what's going on with this guy.

He may or may not have a buyout clause. He's under contract through 2014 apparently, per the thread on him in the NBA Draft board.

booker's hustle, seraphin's body, only with longer arms. from a shotblocking perspective the josh smith comparison might not be too terrible. what he lacks in vertical inches he makes up for in vertical reach. other than that though, smith's got him beat in footspeed, agility, and even handles and jumpshot. looks a little slow and pretty raw but gets away with it because he's got such ridiculous range with his arms. i like that he goes up with 2 hands. twice the hands, twice the chance for contact, twice the fouls. he looks like a mid teens pick to me.

all imo, of course.

Way too high, probably. The competition looked really bad and he looked slow and relatively unskilled IMO.

The Wizard better not pass up Faried for that kid's long arms.

Sarcasm noted, and I agree, Ruz.

Get guys with well-defined skill sets who can play with the higher picks. If this guy's around in round two ... pick Jenkins.

Bismack appears to be less-refined than Seraphin. Better form on his jumper, but not the post moves. He's not as fast as Booker. He cannot rebound like Faried. I can tell that he's not explosively quick. I'm not feeling him for this team.

Dream draft scenario...

Derrick Williams, Chris Singleton, Nolan Smith.

1st round yields our frontcourt of the future (+ Mcgee), and 2nd rounder adds Smith to backcourt mix.

We can move Blatche to a 6th man PF/C off the bench, with SG/PG Crawford.

We can start McGee, Williams, Singleton, Young, Wall. Bench of Seraphin, Blatche, Booker, Lewis, Evans, Crawford, Smith.

Don't see the Josh Smith comparison at all. Dude is a C through and through, especially with a 9'3'' standing reach. Man, he's ALL arms. Don't see much explosiveness. Looks pretty mobile but doesn't look like an athletic freak. Weak competition. Probably doesn't have a ton of skill.

A 2nd round grab & stash type in my opinion. I wouldn't spend a mid-first on him, especially when we already have Seraphin who I also saw as more of a 2nd round grab & stash type than a mid-first.

So yeah - D. Williams is the obvious, clear-cut first option for the Wiz. And frankly I don't even see a second option right now. Kanter would probably be the pick by default (and I love the Ruland comparison, that would work for me). Irving would be nice as trade bait. And, um..... after that?

The ATL pick is so much more interesting right now. I still love Singleton at that slot. Honeycutt could be a nice addition. Maybe one of the Morrises or even Otto von Bismack. To me, that second pick is like Christmas Eve - all the presents are wrapped up, holding the delicious feeling of anticipation of what could be inside. The higher pick feels like Christmas Day when you open the present and find out that your aunt gave you a pair of socks.

Yeah, Williams has emerged as the obvious no-brainer at this point. Kanter i'm really up in the air on. I see more Chris Kaman than Jeff Ruland. 15-17 ppg & 8-9 rpg with suspect defense. And that's when I was optimistic about him. That's not bad numbers but I don't know if he helps your team in the win column. I know Kaman doesn't.

The question is who's left? Who else is worthy of a top five pick? I know there isn't a ton of Perry Jones' fans on the board but if were sitting at 4 or 5 and Williams AND Kanter are gone, what do you do?
