Comcast showing the rise and fall of Gilbert Arenas. Can't even watch it -- too painful. Had to turn over to America's Test Kitchen.

I'm still going to wait to see what he does in the playoff before I fully believe that.

Lewis PER in his last ten games was 3.4 and he's done for the season.

Less effective and less available. Facts, not opinion.

Lewis' PER with the Wizards has been 12.8 which is way better than Gil's 8.4. Plus the Magic are also trying to win a title right now. The Wizards are playing meaningless games. Even if Lewis could play they would probably leave him out just like Young. It is called tanking.

Arenas is not only worse than Lewis but he may be the worst rotation player in the NBA.

Oh I see. The fact that Lewis is hurt and not playing is mitigated by the fact that the Wizards are tanking. Even though the Wizards have won 3 of 4 and are playing guys from the NBDL regular minutes.

Riiiiight.

I would give up on that for now. It doesn't matter. We saw good stuff from Lewis. He has never been operated on and played as long as he could on a bum knee. He should be more healthy next year. He is a good dude and fits well here. Gil didn't. Gil also has way more injury issues.
Most are happy with Lewis over Gil. And he is here, not Gil. That is also a fact.

You do understand that 8.4 > 0 right? Because players wearing suits have a PER of 0.

I have no idea what the number of games missed due to injury in the past has to do with anything. Lewis has missed more games with the Wizards due to injury than Arenas has missed in the past 2 years combined. Doubled. Doubled again. And then doubled again.

So games missed in the past don't matter? Well all of the games Lewis missed are in the past also. Last night's game is in the past so i guess that doesn't matter either.

If someone is missing games it really doesn't matter if they are out due to injury or due to stupidity. They are still out. Lewis has played 57 games this year which is more than Gil played over the previous 3 seasons.

Looking forward the outlook for Lewis' health is much better than Arenas. Lewis doesn't have arthritis in his knee. Gil does. His knee feels different depending on the weather. Arthritis isn't the type of thing that will go away in a couple of months. His condition is chronic.

And how exactly do you come to the conclusion that Lewis is a "worse" player when his PER is 50% higher than Arenas?

Greg Monroe for ROY (second to Blake Griffin, who's a redshirt ROY IMO). He's better than Cousins. At this point of the season he's more effective than Wall.

I'm at a loss to understand why it appears that you are so eager to take every opportunity
to bash, negate, diminish the play of John Wall. Monroe's been good for
a couple months. Wall's been at least as good for the majority of the season.
If DET offered Monroe for Wall right now, I doubt a single GM in the league would
accept. How many rookie awards has Monroe won for his play? Wall? I thought so.

Come on CCJ. You're better than that.

TheBabyMaker, there's really only one player in this draft I see completing this team. Finishing with one of the three worst records (which they had until today) would greatly increase the chances of getting that one great player. (Derrick Williams)

The ideal for me is for them to play exceptionally well and lose the majority of these games

I rarely feel that way but this season that one player seems to be stand out.

I had a few moments of talk with one of the Wizards Reps in the renewal suite
last night with the draft prospects being a major area of talk.

The impression I got from this guy, and you can take this with as big a grain
of salt as you wish, is that Flip (obviously not the same as EG) loves PerryJonesIII
and thinks there is a lot of KG in him. This led him to speculate that the Wizards
would take him over Derrick Williams if given the opportunity.

I hope he's wrong although I barely saw PJIII play at all. I did see
enough of DW to know he's be a fine addition to this roster.

Either that or I hope Flip is right that PJIII will be better in the long
run.

Oh, and - thanks for the update! I can't imagine taking Perry the Platypus over Derrick Williams, so hopefully it's a well-concealed smokescreen designed to throw other teams off the scent. Bet you didn't know you were that powerful, huh?
