Poll:If the Jazz don't get into the top 3, who do you want?

Post#1 » by Jazzfan12 » Thu Apr 7, 2011 4:24 am

If the Jazz get a top 3 it's pretty easy to assume that they'll take Irving or Williams, but they stay at 6, who would you want them take? Pretty wide range of prospects if they stay at #6.

I think they'd take Barnes over Williams, but I could be wrong.

I voted Kemba.

Not gonna lie, I've grown fond of Kanter/Fredette.

PG: Harris, Fredette
SG: Hayward, Bell
SF: Millsap, Miles
PF: Favors, Evans
C: Jefferson, Kanter, Okur

Things will look much better if they replace Bell and Miles.

Not gonna lie.... outside of williams irving and or barnes (if he declares) there is noone I am dying for.

I guess might as well look at a pg (I dont see devin ending his contract here)

Maybe we should try and package pick 6 and 12 for a top 3?

IDK if I had to pick I would take Kemba (eventhough I think he is the next jonny flynn) or a euro, like kanter or jan.

I highly doubt a team would turn down the chance to take Irving, Williams, or Barnes with a top three pick for the chance to take a Euro big and Jimmer.

With a draft as weak as it is, we need to package our two picks for Kyrie, or at least get Kemba with one of them if we can't get Kyrie Irving.

First of all why is Jimmer on the list at #6?

Second, who are the people who voted to take him with our 6th pick instead of our 12th pick when he is projected 15th or higher on most draft boards.

Not saying I want him with the 12th either, but...wow.

Jazz wont be drafting Jimmer. Hopefully people will accept that soon.

I'm not convinced there's a sure fire guy that's worth packaging picks for. Put another way: I think the odds of the Jazz emerging with a star or even a rotation player from this draft are greater if they keep their two picks than if they trade up for one pick.

Probably. The drop off from 3 to 4 hurts us. But teams to dumb things, you can't rule it out. Maybe someone like Washington who already has Wall and Nick Young is really sold on one of these bigs.

Nick Young is not a reason not to draft someone. He's Washington's CJ Miles.

ok first of all this isn't a weak draft...

My personal opinion would be to take Kanter with the 6th and Jimmer with the 12th. I would have to take a good long hard look at Walker/Knight at the 6th spot though and I would also take a good hard look at Leonard with the 12th.

Fair point on not accounting for GMs' stupidity. There is ample evidence to support that.

Pretty open race.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I do like Kemba and Knight, but Kanter intrigues me. Having an Andrew Bogut type player would be phenomenal for the Jazz off the bench. It's too bad Knight and Kemba played so well in the tourney. Otherwise they were sitting on the lottery fringe.

Jimmer and Jones with the Jazz picks...Knight would be ok as well with the late pick. NO to Kanter. We dont need a back up center wh hasnt played in a year.

Would you guys be opposed to taking both Kemba/Jimmer with 6/12? Assuming Irving/Barnes/Williams don't slip.

Watson and Price are free agents this summer, we could pick one up, or just drop them both.

Jefferson/Okur
Favors/Kirilenko
Millsap/Evans
Hayward/Jimmer/Bell
Harris/Watson/Kemba

Would be good depth. Do you think we'll use the team option on Miles? I say let him go, unless we can't keep Kirilenko.

Barnes and Jimmer for me with our picks. Barnes seems like he has the Non-Diva personality that fits with Utah. Jimmer just because he can shoot and bring some excitement to this franchise.

I don't like any of the PG's coming out this year, even Kyrie. Derrick Williams seems like another Josh Smith to me. I'm secretly hoping we get the #3 pick so we can get Barnes.

Harris/Watson/Jimmer
Hayward/Miles/Jimmer
Millsap/Miles/Barnes
Favors/Okur
Big Al/Okur/Fesenko
