The announcers will probably get at least half of our guys' names wrong. They'll be talking about "George Paul," "George Foster," etc. It's gonna be great!

Pacers used to have a TV announcer that kept calling Reggie Miller, Reggie Williams so getting the names wrong is a bit of a tradition.

Hey congrats pacers fans! 136 points?? Damn. Good luck on the playoffs, and I'm quite sure the bulls will not be taking you lightly. See you in the first round(more than likely).

Quinn got somebody's name so wrong today...I forget whose.

Anyways, I'm really psyched about this. This playoff series will be like wet t-shirt contest. I don't care who wins, cause it'll be fun to watch regardless.

Congrats fellas.

I'm a Bulls fan from IL that goes to Purdue, so I get to watch my share of Pacer games. I'm a huge Hibbert/Hansbrough fan.

If my Bulls don't find a way to account for Hansbrough it's going to be one long series.

Good luck rest of the season.

DO NOT TROLL THE BULLS BOARD

With that being said, let's talk about the playoffs AKA the playoff series against the Bulls.

- I posted this on the GB but thought it rightfully belongs here -

First off. Grats to Indiana. I was hoping you guys would make it, the franchise needs it and the draft is weaksauce anyways. So big ups.

For the Bulls v Pacers series I see it going 6 games. I know everyone thinks 5, but Indy is a tough crew and since the coaching change they are revitalized. Personally I do not buy into the Granger hype and although he can hit a jumper his defense is mediocre. I see the Pacer's bigs as their strong suit and as long as Collison keeps them involved it should be a good showing.

Take it with a grain of salt, I have watched maybe a dozen Indy games this season but I like them and that is the way I see it. Shame O'Brien did not get canned earlier.

- I think this is great for your young guys to get some more experience. Best of luck in the Playoffs and looking forward to the matchup.

Phoenix Suns fan here, I've watched your guys team the past couple years ever since you got hibbert and I like what i've seen. Good young group of players. I'll be rooting for you guys in the playoffs. I hope you guys can get a game, cause the bulls are legit.

What's sad is that we havent improved recordwise when you compare this year to 3 of the 4 years we missed the playoffs. The bottom of the East has just gotten worse...

we have a winning home record this year and even a winning record in the conference and division. I'm not sure any of that was true in prior years. I find NBA teams fall into groups. there are elite teams that win decisively at home and play at least 500 on the road. there are contenders that win at home but lose on the road. (sometimes you'll find a rare team that plays 500 everywhere. cynical me thinks that is usually a bad team with a star who gets calls on the road). there is a group of not quites who play 500 at home but can't win on the road. finally, there are the really bottom of the lottery guys who can't win regularly anywhere.

we may have moved up a group.

we also did much better against the East than the West. could be that has to do with more West games being in the OBie era but it could also have to do with match-ups.

The east is very bi-polar this season. Compared to the West, there were a few teams that would have made it before us. The east drops-off after the 4th seed, while the west is deeper with above-average teams all the way to #10.

Regardless, this is an opportunity to get some much needed experience where it counts, the playoffs. A tough series against the Bulls would strenthen our resolve, and it would instill belief throughout the organization that we are headed in the right direction.

I was really hoping for a Celtics/Pacers first round matchup again this year, but it looks like that's not going to happen. Of course I wanted to attend games but was also looking forward to some old school Pacer board posts.

Definitely a congratulations to you guys though!!

That's exactly what what i was wishing for. But anyways, making the playoffs is a sign that we're moving forward as a team. We may be young and inexperienced, but what's important is that we are growing together, sharing the same pains and just solidifying our core of the future.
I'm happy we're getting better as a team.
