There's a lot of announcers and after hearing that video, not what I was hoping for. His voice isn't iconic. Go ahead an argue he can "paint a vivid picture" of a game because that's all that's holding his head above water. He's only getting the job because he's young & he gives stability to a position that benefits having one constant familiar voice.

I hope they don't go with him and rather chose Kevin Harlan. He's got a TV made voice and can give a dunk, shot or crossover that extra memorability.

You could not be anymore incorrect.

Spiro is a hot commodity in the industry. He and Tony Reali from Around the Horn went to Fordham University and were hot up and comers known throughout the industry before they graduated college. Their success at such a young age is a testament to their talents as radio personalities.

Give spiro a chance and maybe your opinion can be shifted away from your premature judgment off one link. He may not have catch phrases or gimmicks but so what. He isn't suppose to be a character. Simply a translator.

Excellent radio announcer who corralled MT and his lack of radio skills. Transitioned to TV very well on the NFL Network.

I highly doubt there will be a simulcast. The Lakers will not put either MT or Stu on the streets. No way.

I like Joel. It's good to have a pro Lakers announcer, for me I like that. Bit Spero is the man. I think he'll do great. Hopefully we can find a way to me Joel as well.

He's well educated and a professional, has always seemed liked it.

I have given spero a chance, he's been on the radio for some years now. And He better have a gimmick, that's not a bad thing. I think the Lakers should have someone bigger, that's just my thinking. Spero is not all that.

This is the Lakers, were going to be paying to watch games soon, I want my money's worth. National-tv like games every night.
