Time to go a trollin'
Already been on the Magic board, giving them crap about Howards inability to shoot Free Throws in a timely manner. Any other brilliant ideas on what to do. Seeing as how there won't be Jack shiyt to say around here for the next 3 months.

Re: Time to go a trollin'
I'm glad you posted, because I had questions for you. Let me preface this by saying these are honest questions. Is Crocodile Dundee actually big in Australia? And how did you become a Rockets fan all the way in Australia? And are kukaburra wings real Australian food? And Do you read our posts in a southern accent, because I read yours in an Australian accent sometimes. I had more but I can't remember them right now.

Nobody down here drinks Fosters, To us it's just the company that makes the beer since they import a lot of the more popular beers.

It's popularity is dying off, its more for the older generations. Soccer and basketball are starting to replace it

Re: Time to go a trollin'
Okay, hopefully I don't miss anything here.
First off, Basketball in Australia EXPLODED in the early 1990's. We had a really strong Australian league, (The NBL) that was gaining in popularity, Basketball was the most participated sport played in Australia. in 1991, I bought a Batman comic, that had an advertisement for Fleer Basketball swap cards. In said advertisement, was Olajuwon. I was just really beginning to develop an interest in Pro Ball, and Olajuwon stuck out at me. At the time, every idiot and their dog, was either a Bulls, Lakers, or Celtics fan. I knew I hated Chicago, (Jordan bandwagon) and even though I knew the C's and Lakers were popular, they didn't seem right to me. So I started following Houston, colleceted more cards, and became obsessed with Olajuwons game. Hence, my love affair with Houston basketball began.
Fosters Beer, is what we export, because we want to keep all the decent Beer in Australia. Personally, I drink Carlton Draught, for me, it is a locally produced beer, and definately my beer of choice above all others. Fosters is, well, crap. And it definately irks me, that this beer is perceived as our "national" beer. I give credit to Coopers (South Australian), and also Boags, (Tasmanian) but other Beers, such as four X, (XXXX) Tooheys, VB, are crap!
No, I don't own a pet kangaroo, they are generally a wild animal. And in all honesty, asking an Aussie if they own a pet Kangaroo, is like asking an American if they own a pet Buffalo. Yes, they are native to Australia, but they are still a wild animal. Same goes for Koala's as well, some people do have pet Wombats though.
Cricket is not dying off. I always like to Piss you Americans off, by saying that Baseball is for people to stupid to understand Cricket. You must understand, we have been playing Cricket in Australia, since the late 1800's. It was always thought to be a gentlemans game, that required not only skill, but a lot of brains and concentration. I am happy to debate Cricket on perhaps another fresh post. As I quite enjoy the game and do not feel that it is on the decline in Australia. if anything, we are getting hungry for it, given our recent struggles to win consistently. (Australia has been the best team in international cricket for the last 20 years!!!!)
Yes we get House in Australia. Jessie Spencer is actually an Aussie actor, that was on a popular evening show called "Neighbours". We get a lot of American T.V. in Australia. I am a big fan of shows such as N.C.I.S. N.C.I.S. LA, Sons of Anarchy, The Shield. I love Maury Povich and Jerry Springer, which actually gives me a good place to put some stereotyping into context. How would you as Americans fel, if the rest of the world thought that you were like the people we see on Springer and Maury? It is an easy trap to fall into.
Crocodile Dundee has kind of faded in relevance. Australia is quite an advanced country, we are one of the world leaders in Medical Trials. Here is a stark comparison of my country to yours. I had to have my Right Knee operated on just before Christmas. I had a surgeon, do my knee that has helped AFL footballers, as well as Olympic athletes do my knee, (in other words, a highly respected surgeon!) it cost me $17.50 for painkillers. The rest was free.
Also, I am not aware of Aussies eating Kookabaurra wings, and I don't read in an American accent, (as I like to read stuff in PROPER English, not the Bastardised version you people use!!!!! J/K
I hope this has been as informative, as it has been fun to type.
Now it's my turn.

Re: Time to go a trollin'
Why do you not have better Gun control laws in America? In Australia, a crazed Gunman named Martin Bryant went, well, postal for lack of a better term. he killed 36 people. A world record I believe, (they got him alive too!)
Straight after this happened, all Semi Automatic firearms were made illegal in Australia. we have considerably less shootings in Australia now. hell, it's even illegal to own a B.B. Gun in Australia, basically, you are allowed to own a Bolt action rifle, and that is about it, (You have to get a special licence as well.) I am not saying there aren't illegal guns out there, but it is not a massive amount.
Why do you all seem to be Jesus freaks? Given what is perceived as the culture in America, it is highly hypocritical, I direct this question at the more evangelical religions. (I'm an Athiest!) so this really interests me. You know, you see people win an award, and the first thing they say is "I'd like to than god." which I believe is Bull ****. I would like to thank my parents for **** one night, and not having an abortion, is a more apt way of saying thankyou. Sorry, I just believe that the entire universe wasn't just arrogantly built for us humans.
Do you Americans drink lots of Budweiser beer, (same context as Fosters!)
Has the American government ever said sorry to Native Americans for all the bad **** "white man" has done, same same for African Americans.

Re: Time to go a trollin'
one reason we have jesus freaks question could be to gain/keep fans. a lot of americans go to church or have a religion but dont even stay a little bit true to it. most don't know how hypocritical they're being cause you know, they're stupid. so if they hear someone win an oscar and not thank the lord almighty, they'd be like 'OH MY WORD! how insulting, how degrading." then someone else in the room is like "this is proposterous" then im like "may the lord have mercy on their souls"
but really i respect people who actually follow their religion and not **** around. they dont annoy me with their holyness, i dont randomly see them somewhere sinning like there's no tomarrow. it's way better than being a stupid piece of **** american, we got too much of those ****.
