Re: Kings @ Memphis
The Kings offense pisses me off. It's literally no ball movement. Tyreke dribbles the ball half court and passes to the Thompson at the mid/high key, and Thompson tries to shoot or drive: MISSES. Very frustrating.

I hope the Kings learn their lesson from last game. No matter how close you are at halftime, you have to make adjustments and up your effort overall. The Grizzlies will surely will try to put the Kings away in the third quarter.

The halftime segment on "The Shot" was cool. Nice to hear the rest of the players views.

On a side note, the game when Tyreke hit that game winning shot was probably a top 5, maybe top 3, Kings memory for me.

Re: Kings @ Memphis
I remember watching the shot at my uncle's home. The Kings were down in the last couple of minutes and everyone in the room said "The Kings have no chance winning this game blah blah blah". Once Cousins pass the ball to Tyreke and he throw it up, I KNEW that shot was going in. Everyone in the room was awkward like !@#$ and I was trying to contain my excitement
Great memory for me.

I can't count how many times I yell at my screen in that third quarter.

Re: Kings @ Memphis
That could have been an offensive foul on Thompson EASILY. Am I the only cringes when Thompson take the the ball from the high key and barrels his way to the basket?
Where is Evans? Cousins?

Within 5 with 3 minutes to go. This zone defense has worked.

Good decision to take out Thompson for Greene. Thompson is prone to do something stupid.

Thornton is so good. I love having a three point shooter as good as him. Just hit a Tim Duncan bank shot to follow a 3!

Tyreke's ballhogging self lost this one for us. Eh. We're playing for nothing. Congrats Grizzlies on making the playoffs, especially without Rudy Gay for all of these games.

Nah, everyone sucked ass today. But nonetheless, the Kings played hard until the end of the buzzer. I don't think you can ask more than that. This game meant more for the Grizzlies than for the Kings. Congrats to Grizzlies for clinching a PO spot.

Re: Kings @ Memphis
What happened to the passing and team play from couple of games ago? It's all one on one now. That's the most frustrating part here. Why stop being successful in favor on something unsuccessful? That's what is happening here.
To me, I think losing Cousins (who I think is the most significant piece on the offensive end in relation to running the offense smoothly) did the Kings in today. Cousins needs to manage his fouls more effectively. He tends to pick up very cheap fouls during the course of the game. This causes the team's offense to go crap for a period of time.
And if you guys noticed that Cousins did not play ANY minutes in the fourth quarter, EVEN THOUGH he had one more foul left before fouling out. To me, Cousins' head was not in this game today. In that sense, I pat Westphal's back for that decision. Cousins is prone to do something stupid i.e. picking up a cheap foul etc etc. But the other side of this argument is that inserting Cousins in would have helped the offense tremendously in the fourth quarter despite Cousins having 5 fouls.
Also, I thought Tony Allen killed the Kings today. He was all over the place. Defense & Offense. Z-Bo was Z-Bo. Those were the two players on the Grizzlies side that won the game for them. Congrats for them clinching the final spot of the PO.
