It seems like every year the bruins always have that extra game at the end of the season. It's nice.

Win out to face Buffalo? Or rest for Montreal?

Rangers win so that makes tonight a must win game for the Hurricanes against the Lightning.

The East matchups are all set regardless of what happens on Sunday.

Anaheim has clinched home ice in the first round, what a run they went on.

The top 4 in the West are set.

1. Vancouver

4. Anaheim

Here are the scenarios for seeds 5-8.

If Chicago wins in regulation or overtime:

5. Chicago
6. Nashville
7. Phoenix
8. Los Angeles

If Chicago wins in a shootout:

5. Chicago
6. Phoenix
7. Nashville
8. Los Angeles

If Chicago loses in regulation and Dallas loses:

5. Nashville
6. Phoenix
7. Los Angeles
8. Chicago

If Chicago loses in overtime or a shootout:

5. Nashville
6. Phoenix
7. Chicago
8. Los Angeles

If Chicago loses in regulation and Dallas wins:

5. Nashville
6. Phoenix
7. Los Angeles

For some reason I thought phillys last game was against us today, not yesterday. Apparently we're playing the devils for really, nothing...

Habs and Bruins again. Should be fun like always.

(1) Vancouver Canucks vs. (8) Chicago Blackhawks/Dallas Stars
(2) San Jose Sharks vs. (7) Los Angeles Kings
(3) Detroit Red Wings vs. (6) Phoenix Coyotes
(4) Anaheim Ducks vs. (5) Nashville Predators

West is set btw, other then 8 (who should get steamrolled by Vancouver)

I like Detroit against Phoenix. Last year was a dogfight, so it should be entertaining. Bryzzz could steal the series though, which worries me

SJ should beat LA pretty easily and the 4/5 is a tossup to me

The Ducks offensive fire power scares the hell out of me. Perry, Selanne, Ryan and Getzlaf. Yikes. We have good defense and goaltending but you just can't completely contain those guys. Hope the offense is ready, because they're going to need to score some goals.

At first I didn't want the Wild to win but anything can happen in the NHL. Just happy to get in and we play Vancouver well. Hopefully the Blackhawks show up with a new life on a bigger stage.

Why would you not want the Wild to win at first? Don't you remember the Flyers last season?

At least now you admit anything can happen in the playoffs...

Unofficial poll, do you guys want a new thread for the playoffs or to build off this one?

Yep, new one sounds good.

Bruins fans who didn't renew their season tickets for next year (which went up 600 to 1000 dollars in various seats), got screwed out of playoff tickets. :(

So stubhub is my only option. My dilemma is go to a bruins-habs playoff game (by far the best games I've ever been to), or save up money if the bruins *knock on wood* advance further then they did last year?

Starting it now. I have a feeling it will be way too ambitious, but here I go.
