Is anyone watching the Hoop Summit game on MSG+ right now? Biyombo is DOMINATING. He has a great inside game, great ability to run the floor for someone his size, grabbing tons of boards, and is swallowing up anything that comes inside. If we could get him at pick 17..

I just wrote this in the draft thread above --

Biyombo is all over the place. HELL of an athlete, great speed, great jumper, VERY active, AND he goes after the rebounds.

We NEED him. He's an animal.

Thabeets and Senes didn't succeed because they suck

This guy is going to be good. Real good. Out of our league now. He really is the next Ibaka, except hes longer and probably even stronger.

Biyombo would fit our system perfectly too. No reason why he cant play center. Would be good with Dantonis switch defense since hes so athletic, while anchoring our defense and rebounding. Hes also not as raw on offense as I thought, showing some solid post instincts and explosive finishing ability.

Bizzy Bis is going top 10. 5 star prospect. He makes Faried look BLEH.

Yeah, I could definitely see him being drafted in the late lotto now. I don't see how a team like the Suns or Bucks could pass up drafting him. But as always, crazy things happen during the draft. This also pushes another prospect down to us.

Yeah, after finally getting to watch Biyombo up close tonight, I'd take him with the 16th or 17th pick if he's still on the board (barring some surprising drop from someone projected to go higher of course). He's better than Faried (who he plays like but is just stronger and more consistently intense) or any of the other beefy PF/C types (Markieff Morris, Tristan Thompson, etc) that will be around when the Knicks are up IMHO in terms of immediate impact and projectability.

Hollinger thinks he's in the lottery now, Chad Ford already had him 16th but will probably upgrade him now:
US wins. Rivers, Gilchrist and Davis all were outstanding. Biyombo just put himself in lottery I think but @chadfordinsider will have more.

I don't know any more than anyone else that has watched his highlights... but with his body, athleticism and wingspan, I don't think he will make it to 17.

I have a feeling that when he works out for teams he's gonna turn heads and be a mid-late lotto.

He was just on...whole game...not highlights. Nike Hoop Summit. Today. Not Youtube highlights. That's what everyone else is talking about.

Shiznit!

he played too good ( I hear from you.) well he might still slip to us. But hey, there will be a good player for us no matter what. Helping out Douglas off the bench providing winning attributes.

For the guys on this board that think we should draft Bismarkie:

"Kevin Garnett is intense player -- every time he's not on the floor, his team is missing him,'' said Biyombo. "I want to (play) defense as a team. I want to help everybody on my team and I want to win the game ... That's what I heard from my first coach, that the good offense is defense. If I block a lot of shots then it's good offense. If I get a lot of rebounds, then it's good offense.''

We're probably the only playoff team talking about the NBA draft.

Thanks for the clarification, I just watched a replay on the west coast. Yeah... there's no way he makes it to seventeen. Although for all his athletic gifts, I doubt he's a kid you could throw onto a playoff team and count on for production.

He's young and has major upside... but I think his road is longer than people would be willing to tolerate. That said... I'd take him in a minute if I had the opportunity.
