I'd want to see a schedule before a definitive answer, and see who we draft, but an early 8-8 or 9-7 sounds fair

We were perfect in the last quarter last year, and now we will have our QB back, along with some new high draft picks and probably some good CB help in FA, and we are also one of the more favorable teams in terms of not having key players to lose and amongst the leaders in the league in youth, so we should easily project ourselves to be over .500 next year, so 10-6 or 11-5 should be our realistic expectation. I think a good offseason could actually put us ahead of those numbers as well, but as long as the draft doesn't go 0-12 in terms of the worst 12 picks to come off the board, then those numbers are good for our target.

We already know who the Lions play. Just don't know who we play at home or away.

I agree with the prediction of 9-7. I predicted 3 wins in 2009 and 6 wins in 2010, so the next logical prediction is 9-7. If we can stay relatively healthy, maybe 10-6 with a possible wildcard run. But 9-7 should be within reach, even with a good (not nessecarily great) draft.

Hate the article. It implies a premise that 9-7 is at the top end of the spectrum of what we can achieve and then goes on to postulate how things could work out in the best case scenario where that high level is in fact plausibly attainable. But our ceiling is much higher than that. It's like if I wanted to do a presentation about space travel, I could show a theoretical "how can we" get to Mars if we wanted to go there and it would be then believable in theory despite the fact that we have never been there before. But then I shortchange the topic to explain how we can get to the moon, but we've already done enough to cement the moon as an already established destination, as our team is significantly better than the average team and we already have an expectation to perform higher than that level at the very least.

What planet is this guy watching from?
