Ugly win but we'll take it! One more win to match last season's record!

I wonder how much Thornton will receive this summer? I think it's obvious, resigning Thornton is a MUST for the Kings.

If the Kings offered Beno the FULL MLE when he was a relative unknown before his stint with the Kings, I would like to think that Thornton will get more than the MLE (Also depending on the new CBA too).

We gave guys like Salmons and Moore the MLE in the past. It would be silly to think we can nab him below the MLE-rate.

Huge thank you from Jazz fans. Always had a ton of respect for Sacramento. Hopefully you guys can get another win before the end of the season!

Too bad our last two opponents are the Lakers and Thunder. Spots 2-4 in the West are still live so both teams may take us very seriously and not just play their benches. In any event, both games will be great tests for us as a club that is finally healthy with all of its pieces in line. Even if tonight was our last win of the season, I am proud of this team. The future is bright. It's just a shame that future won't be in Sacramento.

Yeah, I know.

I think we can make things interesting against the Thunder (tomorrow) and the Lakers (wed). The fans will be super-emotional due to being the 'last' home games in Sacramento. I could see the fans WILL the team into victory for at least one more win.

Big win...Tyreke has to feel like an ass these days. The ball isnt in his hands any more in the clutch. Thornton has taken the reigns of that role! I really wish Evans would stop jiving and work on that shot. Like seriously lock yourself in a gym and just shot with a shooting coach.

With that said....If thornton isnt in a Kings or what ever uni for this franchise I'd be pissed

If you sleep on Beno, he can drop 30/10 on you.

^Shall remain until this happens

Tyreke was hearing it from his teammate for not passing the ball. There was a moment I don't know if they showed it on T.V but early in the fourth when kings got down by 7 or 8pts and PW had to call a timeout, Beno was frustrated with Tyreke and said "pass the **** ball" as he went to the bench really loud :o. Cisco then came over and said something to Tyreke.

Nice to see the Kings pull one out in the clutch. By all rights, we SHOULD have swept the season series with the Warriors. With Thornton on board next season (hopefully), I expect great things from this team in the coming years. Sacramento or otherwise.

tyreke realy needs to improve hes outside shot next season. without those outside shot, he will never be an franchise player. i hate to say this but stephon curry is better than tyreke right now. this is tyreke 2nd year and i dont see any improvement on his shooting. rose and westbrook improve their outside game during their 2nd season in the nba. tyreke pls find new shooting coach, try chip engleland... on the other hand, cousins registered his 26th double double

I agree with you guys. Reke has to feel some type of way about Marcus coming in and basically being our "go to guy". He needs to make sure he comes into camp next season at the right weight and spend the entire off-season working tirelessly on that jumper. It just looks lazy at times, he really doesn't get any lift on it. I'm looking forward to see how he comes back.

Hmm... This sounds a lot like something I tried to point out a month ago. I said this way back on March 3rd in the "Re-Sign Thornton Now" thread:

SacTownKings4Life wrote:I think we all still need to see how well he fits when Tyreke comes back. In theory, Thornton's shooting ability is the perfect fit next to Evans. However, and I'm not sure if anybody's taken the time to pay attention to this, he needs to have the ball in his hands to create his shot. He dribbles a lot. Likewise, Tyreke needs the ball in HIS hands a lot to be effective as well. He dribbles a lot too. Can these two ball dominant players coexist together? Thornton can shoot the lights out. Will Tyreke recognize this and feed him when he's hot, or will he attempt to regain control of "his team" and be the main guy again? And if the latter should occur, would Thornton be content to play second fiddle to Evans after clearly proving himself to be a potential top scorer for this team? Essentially, he's the new Kevin Martin role.

We saw what happened when we "assumed" that Kevin Martin didn't fit in with Evans and what the team was trying to do going forward. With that in mind, my question is this: Hypothetically speaking, what would happen if Tyreke decided that he, for whatever reason, DIDN'T want to fit in with Thornton suddenly becoming the new go-to guy, and didn't want to go along with the direction the team is going right now? What if our haste to hand the keys to the franchise over to Tyreke caused him to get so big-headed that he might possibly REFUSE to differ to Thornton down the stretch of a given game because HE is supposed to be the "star" of the team? This is something that I've always been concerned about. I think we may have jumped the gun with him.

During the game, Tyreke made some pretty bone headed drives and got blocked quite a few times when he should've passed. A few players let him know that they were unhappy with some of the decisions he made, and visibly looked frustrated, especially Beno.
