IMO we need one of Irving, Barnes or Kanter. Enough of these tweener players. If Derrick Williams falls to us I would trade down. Watched him play enough to see he's a power forward.

Biyombo will have to prove a lot more than a good showing the Hoops Summit to go top 10. In 2006 Saer Sene from Senegal blocked 9 shots in the game and ended up being selected 10th overall by the Sonics. I'm sure that's fresh in GM's minds and they'll be cautious before taking another unproven player from Africa early on.

Sene's highlights from the Hoops Summit are more impressive than Biyombo's (first 3 mins)

WTF?

This could go down as the worst draft of all time. Great year to tank.

It seems like there's some insider info on there being a lockout as well. Guys who are guaranteed top-10 picks don't just go back to school and give up millions. This sucks more and more every day.

did you think that Chase would be this good and his partner be soo bad? Many people who are Bosh-like don't do well in the NBA (see Anthony Randolph). Maybe that is no longer a good thing, I don't think there's anyone like that in this draft.

Arizona was void of coaching when they were here, so it was extremely hard to judge. I always knew Chase would be a solid player in the league though based on his athleticism. Jordan I guess was one of those guys who had an advantage in college by being bigger than most opponents.

The reason why more guys will stay in college next year is because there will likely be a lengthy lockout. With a lengthy lockout, there is a good chance that the 1 n done rule will change.

It has a small chance of being abolished (which would make next year an absolutely incredible draft), but has the likely scenario of being extended to two years (making next years draft the worst of all time).

people dropping out actually make this a better year to tank. this draft is going to have no talent depth beyond the top 5 or 6 so one needs to tank to have any shot at a legit player. in deep years, tanking is not essential as you have players like Hibbert and Mcgee falling out of the lottery. it's looking like improving a little next year will still yield a good prospect whereas I'm very happy that our pick didn't fall in the 12-16 range in this draft.

Irving
Barnes
Williams
Kanter
Val
Walker
Knight

we still look to be in safe position thanks to a well-executed tank.

It's sure a sucking year for those drafting at the bottom of the lottery pick, hope our pick doesn't drop down to 6th spot *finger-crossed*. PJ3 is an idiot so now just hoping HB and DWill declare or else....we'll be LUCKY if we're able to draft Kanter.

It doesn't matter how bad this draft is if we end up with a top 3 pick. If the draft really is 3-4 players deep then this was the perfect year to tank. The returning players will just add more options for 2012.The lottery this year will be huge!

I also dont understand the people complaining about tanking this year.
The top players who we were looking to draft will still be there. Had we finished somewhere around 8-14th, we would have been disadvantaged much more than we are currently.

I will be furious if they abolish the one and done rule in order to make it two. Absolutely furious.

I agree to some degree, let's all pray the lottery draft doesn't f us over. If Barnes doesn't declare then it's going to be Dwill (he'll declare, has to), Irving and ...Kanter (??) at the top 3 pick. ANd pretty sure we'll suck again next year to get someone nice!
