really? i've seen a username with nothing but |||||||||||||| as the whole username but it was worth a shot thanks anyway

I think Howard might be referring to the "$" rather than the "/\". Or it could be both, but I'd figure that the "$" is actually a more forbidden character for PHP. :lol:
