True. Greg Oden looked (no hyperbole) 45 on draft day.

Oden plays like he's 45 too with the injuries.

Haha. Also true. I've played with retirees at the Y who hold up better.

Sounds like he'll get serious looks in the top ten. I would prefer him to any of the Euros save perhaps Kanter, as he would create less of a log jam at 4 than any of the others. At six, I think he merits very serious consideration-- how often does a team have the chance to land a player who can act as defensive and rebounding anchor for the next ten years?

Biyombo + Favors would equal a very scary combo in a couple of years. The way guys are dropping out of this draft, I would be happy to land him and Burks at 6 and 12. I have a "solid hunch" both will be impact players in this league. Kanter will be solid as well, but Biyombo offers more of what the Jazz lack, while duplicating less of what they already have.

I want him but I think he'll go before the 6th pick.

It sounds like a lot of guys are staying in school. I could definitely see a team reaching for Biyombo.

Ok, he looked well in one game, he leads his league in blocks but he is so one dimensional. If we say that guys from Europe are soft then guys from Africa are raw (and it stays that way througout therir careers). Personally I would rather take Donatas (ultra soft but I like his skill set) over Biyombo. And my ultimate preference is Marcus Morris with the 6th pick (I know what I get) and another NCAA player with 12th pick

Marcus at the 6? Yikes. He will honestly probably be available at the 12, better to just wait and realize if you lose him you lose him, but he is not a top 6 pick in this draft. Considering the amount of tweener sf/pf's in this draft that are close to Marcus' skill set, a 6 pick would be a disaster on him.

At 12, there is a very good possibility that one of Vesely, Morris, Leonard, Mirotic, or Jones will be there. No reason to take a huge leap on a guy who not only may be available with your second pick, but also has several similar players that certainly will be available. If the Jazz got him at 12 I'd be thrilled, I think he could be excellent for our team, but I want someone with a much higher ceiling at 6.

We don't really need another Power Forward, do we?

Haven't you heard? We're trading all of our current ones. The 20 games they played together didn't do much for people I guess.

We do need more rebounding and defense.

If he's 18 then he can still grow a couple inches, Favors can grow to. They're both listed at 6'9.

African years are pretty funny... it's probably 1.2 to 1.4 years per occidental year...
Did you ever watched youth soccer championships? Most african players looks several years older than the rest of them... their passaports have configurable birth dates...
