PG: Where Injuries in Meaningless Games Happen

Post#61 » by t-time » Wed Apr 13, 2011 2:54 am

I love how people are worried about the way we are playing.

We are currently on an 8 game winning streak! Like I said after the Orlando game on Sunday - Good teams can win playing bad!

It was as meaningless as it gets.

No, a game between two lottery bound teams is as meaningless as it gets. A game that could give a extra home game in a series vs the two teams with the best home records in the NBA is not meaningless.

I'm concerned about Brewer and Noah.

Anything new on them?

They'll be fine. We're ok.

I could do a bunch of complaining but I'm happy with the win.

I just have to mention this though, Boozer better pick up his game for the playoffs. 5 of 19 against Shawne Williams, Turiaf, and Jared Jeffries is beyond awful. He had a good rebounding game though, although at least 15 of those were just him being under the basket and grabbing a defensive board with no white jerseys in sight.

Can we at least rest our starters tomorrow please Thibs? Or cut down the minutes have the starters play 20 minutes at least and give the rest of the minutes to the bench? Forget about catching the Spurs at this moment we need our guys to be healthy come post-season that is more important than catching the Spurs.

The Bulls only played hard for a quarter and beat them by 10+. Melo was outplayed by Deng. Rose dunked on their manhood. All they can do is whine about refs and wish it was different.

.......

I think the Spurs have a better chance than people think out West.

Not sure why everyone is crowning the Lakers when they've looked like such crap recently.
Absolutely. I give the Lakers only a *slight* edge coming out of the west. It could be the Spurs, and it could be OKC if their defense gets-it-on better. The Lakers ARE NOT a gimme for the finals.
Yep. To each his own, but to dismiss a 61 team is just plain stupid. How many wins do we have btw?

Korver 0-6. Ouch. I like the guy a lot, but he is quite streaky.
Can I borrow a feeling?

I can understand why Thibs wants to get homecourt throughout and I have been back on forth on this. Right now, as weird as this reason is, I want the Bulls to rest not only because they need it but because I do not want to see them going into the playoffs on a 9 game winning streak. Teams are going to lose eventually and when they do, a back to back loss or 2 losses in 3 games is not uncommon at all. It's just how it is. I don't want them to get their first loss in a long time in the playoffs and then end up losing 2 out of 3 or something like that when it really matters.

I know that sounds weird but it's just how I think. Streaks and patterns are everywhere in sports.

For anyone who thinks Noah sucked tonight, I don't know what game you were watching. Noah finally played with consistent energy and really played well on both ends (you can't just focus on his rebound total). And as far as Korver goes... let's not overreact. He's a shooter and he had at least two or three shots rim out on him tonight.

A secondary worry I have is Asik. He's fallen off the map. Rookie wall?

Again, Noah is receiving no attention from training staff. Walking to and from huddles fine. Team spokesman said he's able to return.

Again you all need to relax.

That was expected. Why would the Spurs want to beat LA and possibly push them down to the #4 seed and draw them in the conference semis? I'm sure San Antonio is more concerned with their own conference as opposed to losing HC to the Bulls, should both teams even make it that far.

Knicks are another Phoenix type team that lives and dies by the 3.

I would even say their 3 point shooting is more important for them to win then having Amare on the floor.

Celtics are going to wax that ass.

thank god we dont have to face them in a 7 game series. it would literally be a board war between knicks and bulls fans. lots of suspensions and bans

Not for resting starters because practice is way harder than actual games (Any athlete knows this) but I would not be mad if none of the starters went over 25 minutes tomorrow.
NBA Playoffs.... I can never wait!
