i have no doubt these personal attacks are a daily occureence, but man dude needs to tone down the ref bashing. there's a reason he never gets any calls, he complains all the time. hope this doesn't turn into a big deal just cause it was caught on video on national tv.

Yeah I saw that live and caught him swear.

Funny because Wayne Rooney just got banned for 2 games for swearing to a microphone a week ago in the English premier league.

That's why he can't get any calls. Did he reach his 1 game suspension yet?

If the ref was sure about the call he would have tossed Bryant. The refs want this reaction from him. they treat him like a rookie until he explode, then they have an alibi for the other games for not giving him any calls.

He's too stupid to understand he's getting old and is not viewed as a superstar anymore, so the more he whines the less he'll get superstars calls...

When they show a replay of a play where Kobe is complaining he was fouled on...65% of the time nobody even touched him.

When you guys say he can't get any calls, you mean he never gets teched and gets tossed out of the game right? If so , I totally agree. Dude just cannot get tossed out of any game whatever he does.

Wow, of course now this is a huge deal. Just saw on Sportscenter how it's being "reviewed by the NBA"... I hate this stupid sensitivity ****. The man cusses a lot. He's not being "homophobic". So many guys get caught cussing on tv, ****.

I can't even justify him with this. This was dumb on Bryant's behalf. Downright dumb.

On the one hand, I agree that the sensitivity factor in the country has gotten largely ridiculous.

On the other hand, if a player called a black referee a f**ing n****r, it would be a big deal. So if we're going to get all outraged about something like that, I'm hard pressed to understand why should this be any different?

I will say this.

As a long time Laker fan, it is getting more and more difficult to like Kobe Bryant as a person. I understand he wants to win more than anyone, and I certainly want a player like that on my team, but it seems as if he's reverted back to "me-first" on the court, and his demeanor lately has been extremely difficult to watch.

I know some of you are gonna call me a wuss or whatever, but Kobe's actions and play have left a sour taste in my mouth for a while now.

i don't think you're the only one that feels like this. the game threads ive been able to follow are littered with posts criticizing kobe's constant whining.

part of me wishes he'd bitch less. but then the zebras really arent calling fouls on him that are legitimate fouls. ill say this... he's got to free lance less in the post season. he's earned our benefit of the doubt so far, but i wont be hesitant on calling kobe out if he deserves it.

Some of my favorite people in the world happen to be gay... That said, fa***t is not the same as n****r...

You can hide 'gay.' If you want... Many of my gay friends/family do it every day.

But back to the point... Kobe should know better... And this isn't simple 'cussing.' This is a targeted insult. I have no idea of that ref's sexual preferences, but regardless, Kobe isn't acting like a leader and he's not winning any friends with whistles.

He's spent a whole lot of time talking this year... He seems to have come in with that mindset.
All in all, I wish he'd just shut up and play basketball.

Well put. I don't think you're a wuss for saying what a lot of people are thinking, or have been thinking. It's come to the point where my bias can't even cover up reality. I'll find myself watching games and saying, "C'mon, Kobe. That was clean." Or "that was clearly a foul, I have no idea what you're bitching about." And it seems like he's resorted back to "old Kobe," trying to do everything on his own, then getting pissed off at his teammates when he fails. It was old then, it's moldy now.

I don't understand how this is any different to what Kobe has always been like the past 8 years. He's been the same way. Understand it and get over it.
